Chapter 8: A Little Piece of Heaven

(Y/N)'s POV

"There are two types of Exorcist." Rias told me and Issei.

Issei and I were having our legs including my torso healed after our encounter with that maniac, Freed. This was the day I found out how Rias healed Issei after he was attacked by that Fallen Angel. She shared Demonic Power with him while naked. She was doing it again to Issei...while Akeno was doing me. Bill fortunately flew away to escape from scrapping his mind of this while I was blushing madly in red with Akeno's bare breast pressed against my back. I had to cover my...manly parts because Issei and Buchou were in the room.

"How the heck we're having a normal conversation like this?" I muttered under my breath with Akeno giggling at my sentence.

"The first are the Exorcist who are given God's blessing to exorcise Devils." Rias continued. "They get power from God and his Angels. The second type are the Stray Exorcist.

"At this point on, I was pretty sure there were just 'strays' for everything."

"Stray?" Issei asked.

"Exorcisms were intended as holy ceremonies to be performed in the name of God." Akeno picked up for her. "But some Exorcists start to enjoy the act of killing Devils. Killing us becomes their only purpose and source of joy in life. When this happens they are either kicked out of the church or erased. Ufufufu."

"Erased, as in killed?" I asked, at the same time having trouble comprehending why she laughed at the end of that sentence. "Sounds hypocrite to me."

"Yes." Rias confirmed. "But there are those who escape."

"Let me guess, they take shelter with Fallen Angels to go with their killing."

"Fallen Angels are the ones with black wings, right?" Issei asked.

"No, they are one with rainbow wings." I sarcastically answered. "It's funny how you can be so dumb. You almost got killed by one of them, idiot."

"H-Hey!"

"Even after being banished from heaven, they retain the power of light." She continued. "They, like the other factions, lost a lot of their forces during the war. And like us, they've started taking on servants to keep their number up."

"So, they work with the Stray Exorcists to destroy Devils. The whole 'enemy of my enemy' thing, right?" I deduced.

"Yes, that's why they're called 'Stray' Exorcist. They became addicted to Devil hunts and now they attack Devils and humans who associate themselves with Devils, with the help of the Fallen Angels. The priest from earlier was one of them, they're not 'true' Exorcists but they're just as dangerous to us. Actually, they're more dangerous than true Exorcists since they don't have to follow the rules. The church you took the girl to earlier isn't run by God, but rather, the Fallen Angels."

I found it quite ironic that the guy killing Devils was more evil than any Devil I'd met so far. It completely contradicts everything any human learns as a child. Despite all of this running through my mind, one thing was prominent.

"Rias...I need to save that girl, Asia..." I announced.

"That would be impossible." She replied with a shake of her head. "How would you fight them? You are a Devil. She is a servant of the Fallen Angels. It wouldn't be possible to coexist with her. Saving her will make you an enemy of the Fallen Angels, which means we'd have to fight too."

I remained silent after that. I have the reincarnation of a powerful dream demon yet I can't do anything...not now. I felt Akeno's grip on me tighten in a comforting hug. I turned my head and smiled at her. That begs the question...
