"Hey Lyds." I smiled as I got into her car.
"Hey Emily." She started the engine and began driving. "Where are we going?" I asked as she pulled into an off-lane. "To a friends." She mumbled. "Like a party?" She pulled up at a large apartment complex. "It's more like a meeting, your mom wanted me to look after you." She mumbled. She opened her car door and got out and I did too. We scaled the stairs and reached a large square door.Lydia was my cousin, my mother was her mother's sister. Growing up, my step-father has always said we looked alike. We both had strawberry blonde hair, we were both around the same height and we both had a very fair skin. Our make up and clothing choices were similar, however I held back on the blusher. She did not, and always had rosey cheeks. Today she wore a dark-blue skirt with a light blue polka dot blouse. I wore a maroon skirt and a thin white jumper. She wore blue heels and in wore cream ones. She carried a white purse, I carried a brown/ sauce one. Her hair was down, mine was in a messy bun. We always tried to be similar, but not in our clothing choices.
She yanked open the door, and instead the room held barely anything. However, gathered at a table was a group of people. "Lyds, I thought you said this was a party?" I chuckled as she led me inside. "Emily, Meet Scott, Stiles, Malia, Kira, Isaac and Derek." I smiled at them. "Hi." I waved a little, feeling very awkward.
"These are my friends." Lydia introduced them to me. "Guys, this is my cousin, Emily." Lydia pointed to the couch and I sat down. My phone vibrated. I pulled it out. "Oh shoot, I missed my first alarm." I pulled out the yellow tub and stood up, facing the wall. "Still struggling?" Lydia smiled as I sat back down. "I feel like it's getting worse." She placed her hand on mine.
"We'll be right over here, Okay?" Everyone got up and walked over to a table under a low hanging light. I sat on the couch waiting for them to finish talking when I saw the red light flash on the security box. "Guys?" I spoke. They turned to me. "Is the red light supposed to be on?" Suddenly, Lydia was right next to me. Holding my hand. The windows to the left smashed through and these bone like creatures burst through. "Berserkers!" Derek shouted. Lydia hurried me towards a corner only to find another one of the people with skulls on there faces blocking our path.
Out of no where Kira's belt turned into a sword. Scott, Isaac, Derek and Malia turned into to wolf like forms of humans and growled, beginning to attack. Stiles ran towards us but not before Lydia was sent flying across the room. "Lydia!" I shouted. Backing away as Stiles was flung too. The creature grabbed me by the neck and hoisted me high of the ground. I dangled in the wall desperately trying to pry his hands away from my neck. Suddenly a bullet went through the skull and it burst apart as I dropped to the floor. A girl with claw marks all up her neck reached out a hand. "Braeden." She smiled. I accepted as she pulled me up. "Emily. Thank you." She grabbed my arm and pulled me carefully across to a safer wall. Two of the three berserkers were dead but people were injured. All of a sudden, A berserker approached Lydia and I knew I had to save her.
Like a rush of power flowing through my body I screamed out her name. It was more high pitched than anything I had ever heard, and the windows and glass around me shattered. The berserkers retreated and I ran towards Lydia. "Emily! Your- Your like me!" She rushed forwards and hugged me. "What do you mean like you?"

"Our Grandmother gave us the power to scream really loud?" I chuckled.
"And to predict death, find dead bodies and sense things." Lydia explained.
"Wow." She placed a hand on my leg.
"We could use you." She beamed.
"Whatever it is, I'm in."
