As she sprinted through the forest, she clutched onto her necklace to stop it from tangling into her wild hair. Her floral dress flowed gently in the wind, and she feet felt the grass between her bare toes. The bases of her feet gently pressing into the mud, and as she sprinted forwards her short, beach-waved, brown hair followed falling carefully throughout the wind. Her face was dotted full off dark brown freckles, and her soft brown eyes like melted chocolate darted about until she reached the middle of the forest. The tall trees and crumbling mud surrounding her. The thin material of the rose covered dress falling gracefully on her body. The slim straps that held up the weight of the flowing fabrics and the even thinner piece of fabrics that slipped around her waist. "Theo?" She called out. "Theo?" She shouted again. A rustle from above made her head shoot up to the person she was looking for, crouching in the trees. So, he dropped to the ground, landing on his feet. He placed his arms on her waist and gently lifted her, spinning her around as she laughed. To anyone else it would look like a beautiful couple, deeply in love. And that's what it was. Theo placed her carefully on the ground before pecking her lips with his own. "God, I missed you." Theo smiled widely, and Clara the beautiful girl in the floral dress took his hands in her own. "I missed you too." She chuckled.
"Your not wearing any shoes." He chuckled. Then, he picked her up, placing her feet onto his. "Don't want you to get cold." Suddenly, as if like someone had just flipped a switch. It rained. Only slowly at first, then, it picked up plodding along against the ground. The soil becoming mush. The pair began to laugh, as the rain became heavier. "Here!" Theo shouted over the loud patting of the droplets. He wrapped his arms around her legs, and lifted her gently. Her arms wrapped around his neck as he sprinted as fast as he could through the forest. Finally when they reached her house, he placed her gently on the doorstep of her porch. They were both soaked through, head to toe. Her hair was dripping. He shook his head frantically, showering her as he tried to dry his hair off. Meanwhile Clara giggled frantically, shielding her face from his splashing. As they both dropped of the sent of fresh rain, Theo pulled her close to him and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. "I love you, Clara." Theo whispered. "I love you too." Clara smiled back as a salty tear mixed with the rain drop that fell gracefully from her eye. His hands slipped from hers as he began to walk away. "Your gonna get wet again!" She shouted. He smirked as she laughed and continued to run off.
Clara opened the door to her house and trudged upstairs. It was empty. Her dad was at work, probably having yet another late night at the station. Oh, and only god knows where her brother was. The most probable solution was that he was out with his friends, doing a school project or being a normal teenage nerd and watching the latest Star Wars or Star Trek movie or maybe chasing after some supernatural being. "Clara?" She heard the curious voice of her brother ringing through the house. He was home. "Down here!" She called up the stairs as he plodded down. "Your drenched, Where have you been?" He asked, walking to the cupboard and pulling out a pink towel before handing it to her. "Thanks." She smiled accepting it and drying out her hair. "I went for a walk in the woods, it started raining and I ran home." She lied. "Bare foot?" He questioned. "Yes, Stiles. Bare foot. I must have gotten caught up in the moment. I followed a deer out." Which was partially true. She did follow a deer but later received a text message saying that her secret lover was waiting for her. "I'm going to Scott's if you wanna come." He grabbed his keys. "Yeah, I'll be out in five minutes." Clara accepted before running upstairs.
She dried out her hair, pulling it back into a braid and changed into a pair of blue jeans and an orange jumper. She clutched onto her necklace as she looked in the mirror, then touched up her makeup after rubbing off the stained mascara. She grabbed her coat and bag and sprinted downstairs and out through the door as she pulled her hood over her head to protect herself from the rain. Reaching the jeep, she pulled open the door and climbed inside. "Ready?" Stiles asked. "Yeah."
Stiles had always had his suspicions about Theo. He was always concerned about what he was going to do next. When Clara had shown interest in him, her brother had immoderately shut it down. But after a secret date, they had fallen for each other. They finally arrived at the McCall residence. Sprinting through the strong rain they made it to the front door. They knocked and waited for Mrs McCall to open it up. When she did, Stiles greeted her with a 'Hi'. "Hey Mrs M." Clara spoke cheerfully as she followed her brother inside. "I'm going to work, see you kids later. Be sensible."
The walked inside and sat down next to the others. Theo spotted Clara. "Hey." He smirked. "Hey." She replied, pushing a hair behind her ear. "Let's get to reading this book." Scott three a copy to Stiles, who missed and dropped it. Then he threw a copy to Clara who dropped it also. "It's in our genes to be clumsy." Stiles scoffed as he picked it. Theo chuckled.
The night carried on and everyone was falling asleep. Kira in Scott's bed, Scott on the arm chair. Stiles on the floor and Malia on the couch, Theo on the other arm chair and Clara rested her head on Stiles' shoulder on the floor. Theo woke abruptly, looking to Clara. She slept peacefully. He stood and walked over to her, waking her up. He pulled her up gently as they walked into the kitchen. "How you holding up?" He asked as she sat on the counter top. "I hate reading." She scoffed as he walked over to her, placing his hands on her thighs gently. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pecked his lips. "I feel better now." She giggled and he laughed too. Clara heard talking from the other room and hopped of the counter, leading Theo back inside. "How far did you guys get?" Scott asked, noticing them. "I don't know, page 400 or around that?" Theo guesses. "400 pages?" Clara shouted. Everybody look at her. "There are 400 pages in that book?" She said pointing to it. "610 actually." Stiles chuckled, scanning through the pages. "Why? How far did you get?" Scott asked, grinning. Clara folded her arms. "146." She mumbled. Theo's smile dropped seeing how disappointed she was. they all sat back down in their elective seats. Malia and Clara on the sofa, Stiles on the floor. And Scott and Theo in the arm chairs. Clara pulled out her phone. "What time is it?" Theo asked. "12.32." Clara sighed. It was really late. "You guys wanna grab some blankets and crash here for the night?" Scott asked, standing up. Everybody nodded and Stiles went off to help him find the blankets.
Clara shuffled over to Theo, who looked up at her. "You okay?" He asked as she sat down on his lap, swinging her legs over the arm of the chair. She buried her head in his chest as he wrapped his arms around her. He placed a kiss to her forehead. As Stiles and Scott returned they handed out the blankets only then noticing Clara and Theo. Stiles looked to them, as Malia 'awed' their actions. He sat next to Malia, cuddling up to her and smiled. Maybe it wasn't so bad after all.
