nights like these with all of your closest friends were your favorite. watching them all get completely trashed was even better. usually, because you weren't much of a drinker yourself, you made sure no one did anything they'd regret too terribly the next morning. you also took care of recording things for the next day so your friends could experience the night with their memories fully intact.

across the room, seokjin leaned against the wall, drinking lazily. he wasn't really drunk and he had no plans to get even a slight buzz. he was simply drinking because he had nothing better to do.

"hyung, this is your chance. probably your only chance." taehyung's deep voice startled the man, making him jump. the twenty one year old slung his arm over seokjin's shoulder.

"go find someone else to hang out with. i don't want to talk to you." he muttered in annoyance. taehyung was a very talkative drunk. it was simply a matter of time before he'd tell you seokjin's secret in his drunken state.

he hiccuped, his whole body jolting. beer sloshed out of his bottle and onto his shirt sleeve. he clicked his tongue, pulling back from his friend. "dammit! i liked this shirt!" he whined. he soon forgot about it and looked up at seokjin again. "this is your only chance."

"you already said that."

"shit. uh, well you already know that she practically throws herself at you. as soon as you said that we were coming to germany for oktoberfest she was on board. you didn't even have to ask her." seokjin shot the younger a look.

"first of all, no she doesn't. she literally broke up with her boyfriend a week before we left and decided that she'd come with us so she wouldn't have to think about him. she's not into me. she's told me before that i'm not her type." taehyung huffed, folding his arms over his chest.

"you're wrong."

"prove it."

"no way! i'm not gonna ask some girl on a stupid date for my stupid friend because he doesn't want to hurt their stupid friendship. can't you see that nothing would change?" he muttered, trudging away. seokjin only continued to watch you train the camera on jungkook and hoseok from afar, who were dancing on the coffee table.

"jungkook, be careful!" you cried. seokjin shivered. a warmth filled his entire being whenever you spoke. it had been like that since you met three years ago.

you enjoyed videography and photography, so getting a job at bighit had been a dream come true. all you had to do was record a boy band doing different things and send them to an editor. before long, however, you found yourself recording, editing, translating, and uploading the videos to the company's youtube channel. now you had a team of editors and translators to help you out. you were truly an unstoppable force at this point. you were a wave of entertainment that was still just building up steam before it crashed on the shore.

seokjin often found himself being fearful of you. one day your entertainment wave would swallow him up and continue going, leaving him in the middle of the ocean to rot. he knew that some day you'd move onto bigger and better things, different and better job offers pulling you like a magnet. eventually your time with bighit would come to a close, and in turn his chances to be with you. he didn't even want to think about that. so instead, he watched you swing your phone to face him.

"what are you up to, seokjin? causing trouble like you usually do?" you asked with a slight laugh.

"ha ha. you're so funny." seokjin said as he rolled his eyes. you laughed, setting your phone on the counter so it was pointed toward the living room where the others all were.

"i got a job offer the other day." you murmured as you stood beside him. seokjin's heart sank.

"oh."
