Also this was such a sad scene as the whole gang realizes that Johnny is dead, thier blank faces can give you a picture that they are truly broken and have even more motivation to the rumble which i believe is why Darry was so okay with it. Because it took one of his family, those Socs too almost anything and yet everything. Anyway here you guys go!
darry- while he might be depressed it mostly is because of stress and anxiety. From overworking to keeping up as being a adult only at 21. It was rare, seeing as he hid it, but he would have breakdowns and cry uncontrollably or even talk about killing himself because it's to much. But you and the gang now work along side him to try to put less pressure on him.
sodapop- He feels like he needs to be everybody's protective friend. To explain, he of course wants to protect everything he loves, including his friends. But never himself. And when he has no defense system, it can nearly break the poor man. It can be anything and suddenly ruin his day or make him cry. And he doesn't know how to fix it, causing more sadness.
two-bit- He is very open, like Soda almost, and when someone hurts him, it can affect him deeply. Like if the gang hates him for something, he will leave all tough, but once he is around the block he will let the tears flow, let the sobs rack his body, and accept that everyone hates him, that he isn't funny, kind, or loved. That's what kills him.
dally- Family, gotta love them right? Dally you can say never really had a family, or at least a healthy one, in fact it was just as worse as Johnny's, drunken dad, deadbeat mom, you can name it and they could be that. Growing up like that gets you cold, alone, not like anyone else. To feel like you don't belong because your to fucked up.
ponyboy- Loss of friends, obviously. We all can see that both deaths really affected him, especially Johnny seeing as he was the close friend, and gone because of his doing, if he never got upset Johnny might be still alive. And that haunts Pony.
johnny- broken home, broken life, maybe its too much? It's hard to really see the most pain he has felt because he has dealt with no much, and maybe it being to much, is to much pain, and it pushes him over the edge, maybe he will kill himself.
i kinda didnt know what to do with Johnny seeing as he dealt with so much so many BECAUSE its to much it makes him suicidal *shrugs* i tried welp
