It's been boring. Everything has been boring. Alright, it wasn't anything great or so spectacular that you wanted to run outside and tell everyone passing by but now? It was a drag.

My routine suddenly became a bore and I felt the more I ignored Emerson, the more boring things became.

And, there's no correlation between some rockstar and a random girl, thousands of miles away from him. Yet, we had created a correlation. He created a correlation.

I've thought of messaging him so many times but say what?

"Hi Emerson. Sorry for not talking for months. Phone troubles."

He's not dumb.

It wasn't phone troubles. It wasn't anything in particular to do with my phone, it was a slow decline. It was a slow realisation I was a one night dinner stand and that's where things belonged.

I would rather be a coward than take a risk that could send a wave of problems my way.

But.

Maybe sometimes you need to be a coward to realise you need to take that leap of faith.
