So, this is what it's come down too. Two people who barely know each other, sitting in front of a dirt-stained window laughing at adventures they've each been apart of.

Both having forgotten the pain and rollercoaster of emotions they've put each other through.

From a record store to a dirty couch with a plaid exterior. From missed calls and missed connections this is where they are.

Jessie smiles, "I glad you remembered me and came back."

The air becomes strange and they both avoid eye contact, Emerson's brain is calculating what to say, one sentence to explain how he feels, what he's been feeling for this past year. But he's blank. Like the window.

"I said I'd pin you against the wall one more time."

" Well do it." Jessie taunts, leaning closer towards him.

Emerson smirks, leaning forward till they're a centimetre apart.

Emerson gently places his hand under Jessie's chin and closes the gap with a kiss.
