Happy Ending

Alice POV:

I came home that night with the castle guards that wouldn't leave until they dropped me off. My siblings were confused but I clasped them. The next day, I awoke in the same bed I had always slept in before I had gone into the school. I missed my family. It had been over a year and a half." I went to the kitchen and found my mom standing over vegetables on the table. She turned to me.

"We need to talk." She said. I sat acroos the table from her and my siblings.

"Why are there fresh vegetables on our doorstep?" She asked.

"The king sent them to us."

"And why did he send them to us?"

"Because he knows you and dad saved his life so he thinks he owes us things." I said. I looked at my hands that were under the table.

"Why did you come back home?" My voice tried to come out but it stayed inside. I felt my eyes water.  Tears welded in it as I looked up at my mom.

"Mom.." I said. "I.. I'm a terrible human being.." I felt as though my feelings that were bottle up were coming out. "..I ran away last night because I didn't know hat to do.." I felt my heart break. "And.. I don't want to see them anymore because.. I caused them troube... "

"Who are they?" My mom asked. "We need to know who they are first."

"..Prince Axel and the son of a duke, Victor." I muttered. "..They were in a fight yesterday.. Because Axel was trying to prtect me.. and because I didn't want to be with Victor anymore.. I watned them to stop.. but.." My voice cracked and nearly disappeared. "then.. I found out they knew each other way in the beginning and Axel was only doing what victor told him to do and that was when he said that he ended up falling for me and Victor got mad and then they fought and then they didn't stop.. and they got in trouble so I said I started the fight and Axel tried to say that I didn't do that but I lied and said I did. then I said I wanted to talk to Axel's dad and I told him I wanted to go home and I think he won't let me come back to the schoo which I think it okay.." I breathed deeply as I let my breath out. I felt better having it off my chest but I felt sad and hurt still.

Mom sighed.

"What it sounds like is that you ran away and you don't know how to confront them to say who you have feelings for and you don't want to ruin their relationship. Is that right?" I nodded as I wiped my tears. "Well.. Now that you're home.. Let's not worry about them.. Let's just go back to our normal life and forget that you went to that horrid school.. Besides.. Your father up there wouldn't want to hear that you have boy troubles.." I nodded as I got up.

"I'll help make breakfast." I said.

3 weeks later...

I walked down to the store as I opened the door. I was told to my mom to buy some butter as I took as much as I believed it was costed.  I looked on the shelf and saw the last butter. I reached out to grab it when a hand grabbed it first. I looked and saw Nikki.

"So." She said. "You got kicked out huh?" Nikki asked. "When?"

"I didn't get kicked out. I chose to leave. And it was the same day you got kicked out." I turned and faced her. "How's your family doing?"  Nikki shrugged.

"Okay-"

"Want to join my family for dinner?" I asked.

"I thought you didn't want me in your life?" Nikki said.

"I didn't want the slutty Nikki in my life. I wanted this best friend of the new Nikki in my life." I grabbed her hand. "Besides... I saw the other day with the baker's son, Travis.."

"It was nothing. We were only chatting." Nikki said as she nudged me.

"Right!" I said. "Chatting means there are hugs and holding hands right?" Nikki punched my arm as she told me to shush. We went to my ouse together as the soldier dropped another batch of fresh vegetables at my house.

"Since when did you get special treatment?" Nikki asked.

"Since I left the shcool. Axel's father thinks he owes my family favors since my dad saved his life back when they went to school together."

"Why did you even leave?" Nikki asked, coming in. I stopped as Nikki froze, confused.

"..I.. Ran from things.." I said. Nikki seemed to understand because she dropped the subject. We ate dinner together as I walked Nikki done to her house.

"Why didn't you just want to stay the night?" I asked. "It's like 7 and it's getting dark."

"..I felt bad.. I tried to kill you and now you're treatingme as though we've been friends with no problems for years.."

"Because.. I wanted my life with you like this so it's fine.."  I dropped Nikki home and began to make my way home. I walked inside my house when I went to the kitchen. I froze.

The boy stood up as the one behind him did as well.

"Wh-What are you guys doing here?" I asked voice shaking unstable.

"Alice.." his voice crept to my ears. I covered my ears.

"Just leave Victor.." I said.

"Alice.." the other boy's voice rang. "Come back home Alice.." 

"Shut up Axel..." I muttered.

"Please.." they both said.  I looked up at them and saw Axel take a step forward towards me.

"Alice.." Axel said. "I love you.. so pelase come back..." I felt my heart tug as I hugged Axel. Axel's warm strong arms embraced me as he lifted me off the gorund. I looked at Victor and I saw that he began t otke his leave. He turned before leaving. 

"I'm sorry Alice.. I should've accepted your feelings and this would've never happened.." Victor said. "Please.. Be happy with that jerk.." I laughed as I saw Axel's face get angry. Victor left as I was with Axel. My family were in the living room, giving us room. Axel carried me and silently went to my room.  Axel laid me against the bed as he slowly stripped me. I pushed him off.

"Hold up! What do you think you're doing?!" I yelled. Axel looked hurt.

"I thought it was okay seeing how you seemed fine with how I came."

"Axel.. I don't hink you're getting it.." 

"Get what?" Axel said. Our pointless arguement whent on but I guess you can say... I have a happy ending. Even if its with a stupid idiotic prince.
