He Only Visits Me When I'm Asleep (REWRITING)

Chapter 2

"Ahhhhh!" screamed a girl as she ran up to hug me. Okaaay? "You must be our new roommate." She sounded so excited. She had long black hair that stopped in the middle of her back with dark brown colored ends. Her big brown eyes resembled those of a child and her smooth tanned face glowed as she smiled. She was shorter then me and very slim.

"I'm Corrie" she said taking my luggage from me. "Corrie King.  I know I Know I have a boy name but it's unique in its own way because it's spelled girly. So that helps. I think. Right? My parents were quite creative, but I think I'm going to change it to a Naomi or something. Yeah Naomi King. Sounds nice, don't it?" I stood there staring at her the entire  time as she spoke.

I looked around the room as she babbled on about changing her name and dying her hair a color that fits with Naomi. The room was huge. There were three single beds; two next to the windows and one facing the other end of the wall. Good thing no one took it.  Next to the two beds were a little fridge and  a flat screen TV installed in the wall, a computer, a book shelf and  a door next to it which I believed it to be the bathroom.

The walls were a light baby blue with little trails of flowers here and there. The two beds that were next to each other had rainbow comforters, while the other had a Kanye West Bear. I'm pretty sure the rainbow bed belonged to Corrie.

"Oh where is my manners" Corrie said after 5 minutes of talking. "I didn't ask you for your name". "Devil" i said. "Devil?" she said with wide eyes "Omigosh I so love your name! Can we trade? " 

"Sure" I said sitting on the bed that was now mine. "It's all yours". She jumped up and down like a little kid and I couldn't help but laugh. Is she always like this? I wonder how the other girl is. "I can't wait for you to meet Gem" Corrie says. "She's in the lounge. Come on" she grabbed  my hand while pulling me of the bed. 

For a girl who was so small, she sure is strong. "Wait" I said stopping her. "I really want to unpack and settle in. Can't I meet her when she comes in the room" "Nooooo", she whined. I want you to meet her now" "But-" I started "Now " she cut me off.

"But I wanna unpack"

"Please come"

"Later"

"Please"

"No"

"PLEASE"

"Not Now"

"Pretty please with a gingerbread man on top" What the hell.

"Ughh! Fine" I gave up. "Yay" she said clapping her hands and jumping up and down. Wow this girl is really hyper. She grabbed me and we headed out in the hall. We rushed pass a group of boys as I recognized one of them to be the rude jerk I met outside Dean Cade's Door. He didn't notice me. 

"Hey um Corrie are boys allowed in the girls housing?" I asked her. "Of course silly" she replied still holding on to my arm.  We reached the elevator and she pressed the button. I noticed two girls walked pass and eyed me while whispering to one another.  We stood waiting for a minute.

"Come on you slow elevator" Corrie whined. It finally came and we waited for some girls to come out. We got in and were about to close the elevator when a male voice yelled to hold it. Corrie pressed the button to open it back up. 

I dropped my room key I was holding and bend down to pick it up. When I looked up I saw those grey eyes from before. I quickly looked down as I remembered our little meeting earlier. 

"Oh hey Zach" I heard Corrie Say. "What are you up to"  "Strip Poker" He replied, "Who's your friend?"  I mean I'm right here he could just ask me. Jerk. "Her name is Devil she's my new roommate "she said smiling as she elbowed me. I looked at her and smiled. The elevator door closed and started going down. Awkward Silence.
