Troubles In Heaven

Chapter 10: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚 II

She knew that after all these years Sophie would have dated other people just like her, but she never imagined that her ex-wife would have such a serious relationship. Looking at ex-wife with another woman and being so happy made her sad, not out of envy, but out of knowing that she should be on René's place. They were so wrong with each other, Sophie gave her so many chances and she wasted them and now she was forced to witness that kind of scene.

René whispered something in Sophie's ear that made her laugh. Then the older woman looked for something on her cell phone and showed René that she seemed to agree and smiled kissing her again.

Charlotte wondered what it would be like. Maybe it was a reservation at some restaurant, maybe movie. During the night the children would not be home and both would take advantage of that moment.

- Mothers!"- Armand's voice trailed through the garden with a girl and took Charlotte out of her lethargy.
"I want to introduce you, Catherine," Armand said, holding his hand to the girl. Charlotte smiled and hugged him, "Hello, I am Charlotte Labelle, Armand's mother." Said the blonde and hugged the girl. "Catherine, Armand has told me a lot about you, ma'am." Catherine hugged her boyfriend around his waist. Sophie and René approached them. "You should be Catherine." A lovely smile bloomed on Sophie's divine face:

"I am Sophie, Armand's second mother ..." she began to explain to the lady. "Oh, are you best friends with Charlotte?" Catherine asked, biting her lower lip. Charlotte scratched the back of her neck and said, "Actually, we were married, we're both Sapphic,well, Sophie is, I'm bisexual." The girl's eyes widened. She looked at the two ladies, then at her boyfriend, and then again at them: "That's great, I know a gay parent for the first time." Hi, Mrs. Wenyan." Catherine greeted when she saw René."Hello Cathy." The chinese smiled and received a hug from the girl.
"How long." Catherine narrowed her eyes before smiling. "But ... I guess I'm a bit confused by all this." she looked at Armand.

"I'm sorry, I should have explained." He kissed the girl's head.
"Actually we even get confused sometimes." said Arden getting in the middle of the conversation. "Hi, I'm Arden." he reached out to the girl who, gave the boy a hug, who winked at his brother.
"What Charlotte meant was that we were married. Now I'm dating Ren." Sophie said to the girl and hugged her girlfriend's waist.
"It's been a few years." René touched her girlfriend's face and kissed her cheek. That did not stay out of Charlotte's reach. The blonde woman offered to sit around the table. A few minutes later, Sophie brought a vanilla cake sprinkled with plenty of fruit. Arden blew the candlesticks, wishing something.

They cut the cake and handed a piece to everyone. Sophie gave one to René as the black-haired woman licked the fork. Charlotte hardly touched her piece. How did she just want to touch Sophie? Her sweet Sophie. The whole smell of life and youth, milk and honey. The taste of her lips gets you drunk every time when you touch them with yours. The time has come to open the presents. Arden received from his brother a very nice leather jacket that fit perfectly. Sophie went up to take the gift. The box was huge and something was moving in it.

The brunette left her on the ground in front of him. Arden opened the box slowly and a little white poodle showed up inside. "Oh, Mom, thank you very much," her younger son cried in his mother's arms. "Arden. Because it's such a special day for you, I want to make it even more special ..." Charlotte approached Sophie, who was watching her, wondering what would happen. The lady in white stuttered when she saw her engagement ring with which she married Charlotte. "Sophie, I know you're with René, but I want you to know that you'll always be in my heart Sophie Labelle ,will you marry me again?"
