DANNY

"What you need is a night out with me Danny. Get this J guy out of your head."

Reese strokes my hair as I rest my head on her shoulder in the treatment room I hadn't left since Jorel forcefully kissed me and then simply left. I said I couldn't get him off my mind, and now I would never be able to get the taste of his lips on mine out of my mind either. It was like he was slowly taking over me. When Reese found me I was still standing where he left me and she talked me into sitting down on the table where I broke down and told her everything that happened today and last week.

"I think I need to drink to forget him Reese...but I don't want to forget him at the same time..."

She sighs, "You need someone who's good for you Danny, J seems like a bad egg who won't treat you the way you deserve to be treated. He might have the bad boy looks and attitude, but he's not relationship material."

I sniffle before looking up at my best friend, "thanks, Reese, I think I'll take you up on that offer for drinks and a night out."

Reese whoops, "yay night out!"

~Night~

I'd gone through about two bottles of wine around at Reese's before we even ordered a taxi to take us into town for a good time, so when we entered the club I was kind of already buzzed but could handle a few more drinks.

"Shots!"

Reese appears with a tray of shot glasses and we take three each before she throws the tray on the floor like a rebel, grabs my hand and drags me towards the dance floor despite it already being pretty full with dancing couples and friends.

I laugh as the two of us try and fit in with everyone around us, Reese liked boobs and I liked dicks so nothing romantic would ever take place between us. But when people tried to hit on us, the other had our backs and pretended to be our other half.

"Do you want to go somewhere else, Danny?" Reese shouts in my ear, pulling me closer to her.

I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion, not quite sure I heard her right. She seemed worried about something. I see she's looking over my shoulder so spin her around so I can get an idea what has her spooked. Of course, he would be here of all places, was he stalking me or something?

J stood on the edge of the dance floor talking to two other guys, maybe he hadn't noticed me yet. I take Reese's hand and pull her through the crowd in the opposite direction hoping to get to the less crowded second bar out of his sight.

We sit down on a couple of free stools and Reese orders us both something strong.

"Do you think he's stalking me? Or is this some coincidence? There are a lot of clubs in LA and this isn't really that popular."

Reese shrugs her shoulders, "I don't know if you want to get out of here Danny, but there's a guy at the end of the bar eyeing you up."

If I left then that gave J the power and I hardly knew the guy enough to give him that much power over me. Besides the guy Reese said was checking me out seemed alright, if not a bit on the skinny side like myself.

"No, we'll stay. Should I go up to the guy Reese?"

Reese giggles, "yes and be your flirty little self Daniel, I saw a lovely lady at the other bar and I fancy my chances tonight."

The two of us part ways, Reese going to hit on a poor girl who didn't know what was coming her way and me hoping Reese was right about the guy checking me out. The guy sees me coming towards him and turns on the bar stool.

"What's your name?" He asks.

"Danny, you?" I reply.

He smiles, "everyone calls me Aron. Can I buy you a drink?"

JOREL

Intel told us that some of our rivals were at this club tonight which they shouldn't be because this club was on our turf and they knew they needed permission. So George sent Dylan and me here to check it out and sort any problems out.

There were lots of people here tonight I didn't think we'd find anyone, and then Dylan pokes me in the back.

"Is that who I think it is J?"

I follow Dylan's finger and if my jaw could hit the floor it would have because across the dance floor at the second bar sat Aron an old friend of ours and he was quite obviously flirting with Danny of all people.

"If Aron's here Dylan he isn't alone, we need to scout the place out."

We split up, and I make a beeline straight across the dance floor wanting to get Danny far away from Aron as possible because he was a dangerous criminal and Danny belonged to me and no one else.

Aron catches my eye first since Danny had his back to me and he smirks directly at me daring me to do or say something stupid.

"Jorel long time no see mate, how have you been?"

Aron brings the beer to his lips waiting for me to respond, Danny turns around on his stool his own face expressionless like he already knew I was here or something. Okay, I had pretty much forced myself on him at the clinic and then left which was a douche move but he couldn't be around Aron.

"I thought you didn't come around these parts anymore Aron?"

He laughs, "Let's just say I like the real estate and might just stay."

My fists clench as when he says real estate he not so subtly rakes his eyes up and down Danny like he was a piece of meat. I wanted to punch the smirk right off his smug face.

"Do you two know each other?" Danny pipes up.

Aron nods, "we use to work together Danny, then Jorel here lost his shit and I left for my own good."

I snort, "Bullshit Aron and you know it. You were kicked out."

He still knew how to push all my buttons, so I don't think twice before snapping and punching him square in the jaw. Danny jumps up from his stool as Aron decides to tackle me. I really couldn't go anywhere without starting a fight.

After a few minutes of back and forth punching I feel myself being pulled off Aron by Dylan, who puts his hand on my shoulder to try and calm me down. I look down to see my fists covered in blood, and when I finally calm down and look around the club Danny is long gone.
