The walk wasn't far at all, it was surprisingly close. We sat down at a table and placed our orders. Lily leans in a bit close, and makes note to talk in a whisper. It had arrived quite quickly.
"Don't turn around, but there are 4 guys directly behind you. They've been staring at us for the last 10 minutes." I try to slowly turn around but she grabs my arm to stop me.
"What are you doing, don't make it obvious. Just drop you napkin and slowly look when you got to pick it up."
"And that's not making it obvious?" I giggle.
"Trust me, it will work." she grabs my arm once again to nudge the napkin off the table. I started to laugh at her blatantly obvious strategies. I make sure to take my time reaching down to grab the napkin so I can get a good look at their appearance.
She's right they are very attractive, but so different. There are 2 guys whos back are facing towards mine, and another 2 across them. The guys whos back are towards mine have relatively short dirty blonde hair, one with a buzzcut. I can't really get a good look at them though. The other 2 guys cross from them are quite gorgeous. One has platinum blonde hair perfectly coiffed with hazel eyes. The guy beside him captured my attention most, he has a more of an olive complexion, with shaggy brown hair and these deep blue eyes.
I hadn't realized how long i've staring, until Lily kicks me from underneath the table. I immediately jumped up, causing me to hit my head against the table. Lily's laugh is projecting the restaurant. I am mortified, I can feel my cheeks heat up with redness from embarrassment. Clearly they noticed, I highly doubt that people had any difficulty hearing the "TING" from my head colliding with the table.
"You okay miss?" the guy with the buzzcut turn to ask with a smirk. This didn't help the sistation at all, this just made Lily laugh a lot more. Just giving further validation that they obvious saw.
"Yep I'm good, thanks for asking though." All 4 boys eyes are on me. Before I could turn back around towards Lily. He continues to talk,
"Ah- an American. Oh how rude of me, my name is Jasper by the way" his smiled seems to be genuine, he shakes my hand.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Stella and this is Lily." Lily waves to them, but she's still chuckling from the ordeal.
"Let me introduce you to the boys. This Beast beside me is Jeremy" he grins, then points to the guy across from him with the bleach blonde hair. I can tell Lily is very intrigued with him. She's always went for the blondes.
"That's Neil, and the lad beside him is Ash."
"Nice to meet you" I say. The one presumed to be Neil asks
"How longs are you guys on Holiday for?"
Lily budges in, "We are actually not here for a Holiday, we are going to be living her for a few school semesters."
"So you guys are here for school. Yenno, why don't you guys just move to our table and we can chat some more." Neil smirks, making eye contact with Lily. flirting back with Lily.
Oddly enough by the expression on Ash's face he seems to be a little bugged by the idea, but Lily quickly got up and plotted beside Niel. I grabbed my food and just sat next to Jasper. Ash sits directly in front of me, but refuses to engage in the conversation, but rather just sit there and look down at his food.
"How old are you guy." I ask making small talk.
"Well, we're all 23, expect for Ash, he's 24. What about you two?" Jeremy says
"We're both 21. One month apart actually." we continued out the conversation for around an hour, Lily exchanged numbers with Neil to keep in touch while we're living here.
"It quite late, we should get going." I say to the group.
"Yeah it is, why don't we walk you home," Jeremy asks
Ash shot a glare at him, I lean in towards Jasper and ask
"Does he not like us?'
"Don't take it personal, he's just an angry guy. If you got to know him, he can be a half decent guy." it goes silent, neither Lily or I have answered to Jeremy.
"Oh, come on we aren't going to kill you." before I could say anything Lily responds for me.
"We'd love for you guys to walk us home."
"Fuck, Jeremy didn't Rebecca want you home soon."
"Shit yeah you're right, I should get going. Sorry for the offer and then having to leave. I'm sure I will be seeing you both very soon."
We all got up from the table once we've finished with the payment.
"I'm actually very tired I think I should go home." Jasper says
"I second that, I should just go home as well." This was the first thing Ash has said all night
"No you're going with them." Jasper glares. Ash rolls his eyes, as he stands there in complete annoyance. I pull Jasper a bit to the side.
"What are you doing, don't make me walk alone with some guy who clearly doesn't like us."
"Don't worry, I want to give you 2 girls a chance to actually know him. I assume we are going to be seeing each other a lot. I am trying to give you some time to get to know him."
"Okay fine." I rolled my eyes as well
"It was really nice to meet you. I am having party at my flat tomorrow, you girls should stop. I'll make sure Niel texts you the address" Jasper says. We continue to say our goodbyes, Jasper giving both Lily and I a hug before stepping out the restaurant.
The 4 of us are standing by the door not knowing what to say, nor what to do until Niel held the door open for us. We walk out onto the cold streets. A Lot more chilly than I expected. Lily started to shake, so Neil put his arm around her to keep her warm.
This walk is quite awkward, Neil and Lily are adorably walking at the front. While me and Ash casually stroll behind them. Except it's not cute at all, it's much more distant and full of obvious discomfort.
