You sighed.
"How did I get myself into this situation?" You asked yourself.
"Easy! You get to go on a blind date with me and a friend!" Your best friend in the world laughed. You rolled your eyes. You didn't see how this was amusing at all. Not one bit. You know your friend had bad taste in guys, and you don't mean just by looks but by personalities. You sighed as she dragged you along. You were going to meet up with the guy at a bar. Yes a bar! head to a movie and eat dinner at a restaurant. But a bar?! That was a bad sign first of all, 99 out of 100 relationships that start at bars end in break ups. This was your own personal fact you ALWAYS kept in check. Instead you were being dragged to the same place you had been ignoring for more than half of your life. As the two of you entered her 'date' raced over picking her up into a big hug which made you a little sad. Your friend turned towards you her face lit with delight.
"Now let's find your date!" She smiled. You sighed and followed as she pushed through the tight crowd of party-goers. You sat into a seat while she took the other.
"Two shots of any kind." She said. The bartender nodded and put the two small cups down. My friend gulped hers down instantly but I hesitated.
"Go on, it's not bad." She said. I chugged it quickly and made a weird face at the bittersweet taste.
"You're not a normal here are you?" Someone asked from behind you. Turning you face a blonde.
"Nope, and never coming again." You sighed. He smiled.
"Why not?" He asked. You laughed.
"Do I look like a party goer?" You asked. He smirked.
"Nope but hey, you still look pretty sexy, but don't tell my date okay?" He asked. You chuckled.
"Wouldn't dream of it, you're waiting for your date to?" You asked. He nodded.
"I have no clue what she looks like, but a friend of mine set me up with her." He bit his bottom lip checking the time.
"Same here, I only know his name." You grumbled.
"Here to, wait....are you _________?" He asked. You were a little stunned. This was your date? This was Alfred Jones? He sure didn't look like an Alfred. You smiled a little shocked.
"Um, yeah." You blushed feeling a little embarrassed. "You're Alfred I'm guessing." You smiled. He smiled.
"Yup, sorry about earlier but I was only speaking the truth..." He blushed lightly. You laughed.
"It's fine, no hard feelings." You smirked. Your friend tapped your shoulder.
"Um, ______, shouldn't you be looking for.....oh there he is!" She smiled. "Looks like you've already found him." She laughed. You nodded.
"Well then, should we get going?" Alfred suggested. You and your friend nodded. Following Alfred out of the bar you all walk down to the theater, you stealing glances at your friend and her date cuddling in one big jacket.
"What's wrong?" He finally asked. You looked at him.
"Oh, it's nothing." You murmured.
"I can tell it's something what is it?" He asked. You glanced over at your friend and her 'snuggle buddy.' "Oh....I see." He laughed. "You should've said so!" He wrapped an arm around your shoulders pulling you into a side hug. "My jacket is warm and big enough." He smiled. Without pushing him away you burrowed under his jacket. God it had been so long since you had anyone be this nice to you and open. As you guys arrived at the movies the guys bought their and the girls tickets and they settled down into the seats. You guys were seeing the newest scary movie that was out. half way through you noticed unlike your friend you weren't cowering or whimpering for her boyfriend to hold her. You felt a little bad. Instead you glanced over seeing Alfred clinging to your arm screaming for help. This made you laugh lightly. You could tell he was an interesting person. After the movie was over you had Alfred practically clinging to you all the way to the restaurant which made you laugh even more. Never in your life had you seen someone like this, most guys wanted to be manly, but you could tell this guy was very full of different, unique personalities. After plying him off of you, everyone order. Alfred got burger and fries with a coke, you got grilled cheese with an apple while your friend and the other guy got a corn dog. After finishing you sat there and took turns talking to each other.
"So, you like cats?" He asked. You nodded.
"I love all animals, but if I had to choose just one, it'd be cats." You said. He smiled.
"That's great! I got this one at home I'd think you'd like! You should come over and play with him a bit, I have to work a lot so he doesn't get much attention. So what do you say? Are you free long enough tomorrow?" He asked. You smiled.
"Of course I have another day off tomorrow!" You laughed. He grinned. Your friend tugged on your sleeve.
"Hey, _______, is it okay if me and (Your friend's boyfriend's name here), get the house tonight?" She asked. You were a little shocked.
"What? Where else am I going to go sleep?" You asked feeling a little hurt. Your friend smiled.
"At Alfred's house! Where else?" She asked. You grimaced.
"Well first off I'm not going to be inviting myself, and he's a total stranger!" You cried.
"Is not!" Your friend countered.
"Hey," Alfred rested a hand on your shoulder. "It's fine, I really don't mind, I promise not to try anything." He laughed. Hesitantly you agreed.
"See you tomorrow _________!" Your friend called as you guys separated heading in separate directions.
"So what was that with your friend?" Alfred asked. You raised an eyebrow.
"What are you talking about?" You asked. He laughed.
"The whole thing where you looked a little jealous she had a boyfriend." He snickered. You sucked in a deep breath.
"To tell you, I don't go on dates, and truth is I'm not really loveable I guess because all of my relationships have completely failed, and yet my friend she suddenly comes home one day with prince charming." You sighed kicking at the rocks. Alfred nodded his head.
"I get it, and yet you're left alone with no one." He said. You nodded.
"But hey, it's fine." You smiled lightly. He stopped walking and turned facing you.
"No, no it's not, those guys are all stupid and have no sense or good taste, they're all fucking assholes. I'm telling you __________, you don't deserve anyone like those jack asses." He growled resting both of his hands on your shoulders. You were surprised to see his blue eyes filled with determination. You felt yourself melting into them. You leaned forward onto your tip-toes and did what you would never have done if you had been thinking strait. You kissed him. Only when he stiffened did the realization burst into your mind. Pulling yourself away, you looked at him with wide eyes.
"I am so sorry." Was all that came out. He opened his mouth to say something. "I am so so so sorry, I didn't mean....I am very sorry." You cried. He only smiled at you.
"Shut up you idiot." He laughed pulling you into a hug. "You ruined my surprise." He whispered. You felt like something had just been lifted off your chest. Pushing you into his coat the two of you walked on.
"I'm your Hero." He stated. You looked up at him playfully.
"But during scary movies, I'm yours." You laughed. He nodded.
"You got that right...."

(Sorry this one is so short, and it feels to quick! >.< Again sorry :( )
