Chapter 2: The Beast Tamer

After Kirito's incident with the Moonlit Black Cats, and the death of someone close to him, he decides to form a party with Matsubaki and Jaynaki. Jaynaki finds a stray dragon across from her. "Hey there, little fella. Are you okay?" She pets the dragon's head and baby talks it. "Come with me, I'll make you stronger. I'll call you....Azure." Matsubaki is right behind her. "Made a friend?" He said. "Yup. A dragon." "Beast tamers are usually rare in SAO. Surprised I found one." Kirito said. "Consider yourself lucky, Kirito." Jaynaki blushes. Azure flies to the sound of a high pitched scream. "Someone is in trouble, let's follow that dragon." Matsubaki said. They follow it and see three giant gorillas with clubs and sacks attacking a young girl with a yellow cloak and shoulder plates with twin pigtails.

Matsubaki, Kirito, and Jaynaki leap into the air and kill the creatures, saving the girl. In the girl's mind, she hears this phrase: "are you unharmed my lady?" it is said like it's an R&B artist. "What?" The girl asks. "I said could stop staring at me like that it's creepy!" (A/N: If you get this reference, I will send you a random Chibi character in your inbox) The girl snapped back to reality. "Thank you for saving me from those monsters." "No problem, Miss. The name is Matsubaki." He bows. "Mine is Kirito." Kirito said next. "Jaynaki, at your service." She also bows. "My name is Silica. Can't believe Pina died saving me, by sacrificing herself, until you guys showed up."

Kirito tells Silica that in Floor 47, a dungeon called the Hill of Memories that houses a rare item called the Pneuma Flower, an item that revives companions three days after death. Silica, Kirito, Jaynaki, and Matsubaki travel together only to run into a tall woman, same as Matsubaki, with red hair, black and gray clothing, and a halberd in hand.

"Silica, is that you?" The girl said. "Rosalia, Titan's Hand, orange level guilds in the lower floors. Not as deadly as Laughing Coffin or the Holy Dragon Alliance, but they will kill if their demands aren't met." Matsubaki said, with confidence. "Are you psychic? Silica said. "Detection skill is maxed out." He said. "Aincrad's assassin. You really think I know about what you do. Killing people." Rosalia scolded. "I do, but it is to bring peace to this world. I won't be afraid to kill anyone who harms the innocent." Matsubaki said. "I'll tell you what, hand over the Pneuma Flower and we'll let you walk away." Kirito steps up and gets into a fight or flight position. "That will not happen with us around. Matsubaki, Jaynaki, get close to Silica in case something bad happens. Walk away, turn yourself in, and we won't have to spill blood." Rosalia laughs sinisterly. "You think I came alone. Well, a magician isn't alone without her assistants." She snaps her fingers and her lackeys come out of hiding. Matsubaki and Jaynaki unholster their swords. "Kirito, don't solo on them, let us help." Jaynaki protests. "Jay, trust me. Just protect Silica and teleport to safety." Kirito said. He unholsters his sword and stands there waiting for them to make the first move. The lackeys charge at Kirito slashing and thrusting him, all resulting in Kirito not flinching. "He's not flinching. Something is extraordinary about Kirito." Jaynaki said in her thoughts. They see his HP gauge diminish little by little, but somehow it regenerates. "What the hell?" Matsubaki said when he sees the gauge replenish. "There's something you don't know about me, Rosalia. And Jay, Matsubaki, and Silica. I heal faster than you can injure me. You know why? Look at my stats." He reveals his stats at a level 78 with HP in 14,000. "My stats are so equivalent like that, but I'm harder to hit." Matsubaki said. "Lording over your stats like some kind of god. Whatever, kid, I still want that...." Rosalia gets cut off by a blur and has a blade on her throat. Matsubaki has a dagger to her throat. "One or the other: I kill you where you stand or put down your weapon and we'll transport you to jail. Tell the others to stand down and we'll take all of you to jail so you won't hurt any more people. Your choice." Rosalia hesitates and drops her halberd. "You win this time, assassin. But next time, you'll hear for me." Other people with matching clothes, red and white, Knights of the Blood Oath colors, escort them to jail. "Looks like our work is done. Let's revive our friend here."

"Let's revive a dragon." Kirito said enthusiastically. Silica opens her menu and equips the flower and grabs the feather labeled "Pina's Heart" and produces a drop on the heart and is in transformation. Seconds later, the bright lights cease and Pina is now in its dragon form. "Pina!" Silica cried in joy. She clutches Matsubaki's arm without knowledge. He blushes red, but doesn't say anything. "Quite a playboy now, are you?" Jaynaki said to his ear. They see the dragons fly around in joy. "Looks like Pina has made a friend. Matsubaki, thank you for protecting me. And Jaynaki and Kirito too." Silica said looking at him. She holds his hand as they look at the dragons play along as Silica has found new people to care and protect Silica while she can help them too.
