Ever since their first meeting, Kim has been trying to get hold of Xian’s contact. She even begged one of her friend from People Mag to give her his number but unfortunately Xian is a very private person. To get in touch with him, one needs to contact her secretary. She’s also been attending several gatherings hosted by different people from the press in hopes that she would bump into him. Still no luck.
Until one day, she got a call from her manager, Ms. Tina. She was on break at a taping for her new show.
“Hello Kim. Next month na pala ilalabas yung issue mo with People Magazine and incidentally next month rin yung company anniversary nila. Ang bongga di ba ikaw ang nasa anniversary issue nila.” Her manager said in delight. “They’re inviting you for their party, this weekend yun, eh may taping ka for your new show kaya sabi ko baka hindi ka makapunta.”
“Ha?! Ano?! Dinecline mo yung invite??” she was yelling in disbelief. “Ms. Tina, pwede ko naman siguro mamiss yung taping, I mean konti pa lang naman ang scenes ko? Tsaka ma’am, People Magazine yun sabi mo nga anniversary party di ba.”
“Well..” her manager began.
Please, please Ms. Tina pumayag ka na. Eto na yung chance na hinihintay ko! Kim was begging her in her mind.
“Sige! I’ll make the call sa director and staff. And I’ll call People na rin to let them know you’re coming.”
“Yes! Thanks Ms. Tina! Ikaw na talaga. You’re the best.”
“Ewan ko sayo Kimmy. Dati naman ayaw mo umaattend ng mga ganitong events. Bakit parang ngayon excited na excited ka??”
“Ms. Tin kung anu-ano iniisip. Gusto ko lang ng new scene. Change of environment. And para makilala ko rin yung ibang press people.” and para makita ko ulit at mas makilala ko rin si Xian… she thought.
“Ok. Sabi mo eh. Pano, I have to go. Marami pa ko aayusin. See you this weekend. Bye!”
She put down her phone. And began shrieking. Everyone looked at her with questioning eyes. She didn’t care. She is really excited. She wanted to jump around and scream. Don’t! Kim compose yourself, breath in, breath out, she thought. I’m going to see him! She can’t erase the thought of her seeing him again. This made her smile the entire time. She was like a child on Christmas morning. All giddy and happy.

The night of the event.
Tonight is the night. Kim was once again talking to herself while checking how she looks. She’s wearing a teal strapless long gown. Lace and beads accentuate the bodice. The skirt perfectly flows from her body that moves fluidly with her every movement. She was just… Stunning.
She arrived just in time t the Grand Plaza Ballroom of Sofitel Philippines. She was escorted by one of the ushers to her seat. She was seated with the other VIPs. Celebrities, socialites, businessmen, politicians and other known figures in the Philippines were invited at the party.
The program started. The president of the company was introduced and he gave a welcome message. After him many other speakers went to the podium and gave their respected speeches. My attention was not really with the speakers. I was searching for that one person; I’ve been waiting to see. I kept wandering my eyes to catch a glimpse of him. Someone tapped my shoulder and a hand was in front of me. Somehow I didn’t notice that the master of ceremony was calling me on stage for the unveiling of the anniversary issue. I looked up to see who it is…..
