For the first time in days I didn't have a nightmare. It was a dreamless slumber; something I highly appreciated as I don't think I can take another nightmare. They scare me out of my wits and it'd take me a few minutes to realise I was safe in the Cullens' house and away from Charlie.

Feeling very bright, I jumped out of bed and hummed a tune as I went to the bathroom. I continued humming as I showered and washed my hair. I turned the shower off and wrapped a towel around me. I exited the bathroom, slightly singing under my breath as I changed into the clothes which were laid out on my bed. I dressed into a blue shirt with long-sleeves and a high neck line and a pair of black jeans.

I hummed as I french braided my hair and I flicked my hair over my shoulder. I looked in the mirror and noticed how living with the Cullens had changed me physically, not just mentally. My brown eyes no longer have the dead, empty appearance I would've had weeks ago. Instead, there was a little sparkle of life in them. My cheeks weren't as hollow as they were before living with the Cullens. My skin was still very pale, but I don't think anything could change that. I was just naturally pale.

Unfortunately, my bruises were still visible. Carlisle had checked them yesterday and confirmed that the marks were healing and in a few months my back should be bruise-free. To be honest, I can't even remember what my back looked like without bruises and marks and this thought disturbed me. The other bruises were either yellow or gone now, except for the ones around my neck. They still remained red. Carlisle suggested that they were red because they weren't bruises but hand prints from the time Charlie tried to strangle me.

I shrugged this thought off and bounced all the way out of my room, down the corridor and down the stairs. I saw Jasper and Edward sat in the living room, watching the large TV installed in the wall. I still don't get the TV programmes Alice and Emmett watch. They were either soap operas, reality shows or cartoons when Emmett gets his hands on the remote.

Jasper seemed amused with my mood. "Why are you so happy? I feel like I'm going to start laughing out of pure joy."

I scowled at him. "I'm happy because I had a good night sleep."

"No nightmares?" Edward questioned.

I smiled and shook my head. "No nightmares."

He smiled. "Good."

I smiled back and skipped to the kitchen, much to the amusement of Esme as she watched me enter the room. She quirked her eyebrow, smiling at my bubbliness.

"Ready for breakfast?"

"Yes, please." I thanked her as she laid breakfast out in front of me and ate it quickly. When I finished, Alice walked gracefully into the kitchen, smiling in my direction.

"So, when are we going shopping?" I asked her as she sat in the chair next to me.

"In a minute," Alice told me. "We're waiting for Rosalie to get ready."

"And how long does that take?" I asked impatiently.

"Only a few minutes," Rosalie said as she walked in. Her long blonde hair was in a braid going down her back, its luscious waves neatly tucked away. She was wearing a red top and light blue jeans; a simple combo, but yet it enhanced her beauty.

Alice was wearing a nice white blouse and a black skirt to match. She had a black cardigan around her and she had a silver hair clip in her black hair. She was wearing black high heels and white tights. She looked a lot better than me and so did Rosalie.
