Getting out of the hospital was a nightmare. Strangers kept staring at Edward and Dr. Cullen, entranced by their beauty. Their pale skin and golden eyes were very unusual and no one could be compared to them. I knew that Dr. Cullen and Edward were stunningly beautiful, but the glances they got irritated me as it caught unwanted attention towards me.

Nurses kept flirting at both of them and I rolled my eyes as Dr. Cullen rejected a petite nurse of 'going out' and I smirked as he played with his wedding ring in clear sight. The nurse retreated back to her post and Dr. Cullen waited until I reached him before walking again.

We made it out when we managed to avoid anymore nurses and I giggled as I saw Dr. Cullen sign with dramatic relief. Wait, I giggled? I haven't giggled in a very long time...

Dr. Cullen cleared his throat and I snapped my eyes to him. He tilted his head forward and I looked to see Edward at the car, holding the door for me.

I walked to the car and climbed in, Edward shutting the door. I winced at how close he was at that moment, and I knew he noticed but he didn't mention it.

Edward sat in the passenger seat and Dr. Cullen started the car and reversed out of the hospital's car park. He was driving so fast that the trees outside were a green blur but I felt oddly safe, like I knew he wouldn't crash. I looked out the window and I was about to say something when Dr. Cullen spoke.

"So, Bella, do you like school?"

I shrugged. "It's alright."

"Favourite subject?"

"English."

"Least favourite?"

"Gym. I fall down. A lot." I admitted, blushing. I fall down a lot even if I was just walking across a flat surface.

Edward chuckled. "I can imagine. Don't worry, though. I'll catch you next time."

"You can't guarantee that." I muttered.

"Yes, I can."

"You're not even in my class," I pointed out.

He turned in his seat to face me. "I can arrange to be."

I rolled my eyes. "Bribery. I'm disappointed in you."

He smirked. "It's not bribery. It's a way to persuade someone to make something happen."

I chuckled. "It's to get your own way without confrontation from anybody."

He rolled his eyes and smiled at me before turning to face the front. Dr. Cullen took a snap turn to the right and it was a long drive before we reached the house.

I gasped silently at the house. It was three-storys tall and the wall facing me was made completely out of glass. The exterior of the house was white and very modern, almost futuristic.

Edward chuckled as I removed my seatbelt and I climbed out. I closed the door and jumped out of my skin, heart racing. I saw Edward leaning against the car. He was staring at me, too close for my comfort.

"What?" I choked out, highly uncomfortable.

"You didn't let me open the door for you."

I laughed, still wary. "Seriously? I can open and close doors without help. I learned it when I was little, like many normal people."

He scowled at me, which I had to bit my lower lip to stop my chuckling from surfacing. Laughing at him might make him angry, and he would hit me. I'd learned that from experience.

A booming laugh startled me as it echoed. It came from somewhere in the house and Edward signed.

"Emmett?" I guessed.
