Our protagonists awoke at dusk.   Natsu and Gajeel were the first up, they quickly woke the others before locking onto Anastasia's scent.   They jumped out the window, the others were sensible and used the stairs.   They were off, chasing the vanishing scent of the criminal turned child.   It leads them to the wall around Fairy Tail's property, Gajeel and Natsu were attempting to break through the wall when Erza stopped them.

"We can't.   We all want to save her, but if we were to leave then we'd get into even more trouble.   Our records haven't been erased, and we'd cause a panic, and have to be here even longer."

They begrudgingly stopped, though Gajeel threw one last punch when he thought Erza wasn't looking.   She was.

"Gajeel!   You know the rules!   Someone could see!"   She scolded in a panic, last time anyone saw hers, people died and she was treated as a monster, her closest friend turning his back on her.

"Yahuh.   Now how do we get outta here, while following the rules."   I believe he accentuated 'following the rules' to be mocking, or prove how pointless it was.

"We go to Master Makarov."   She stated, so off the went, grumbling about wasting time, to Master Makarov's office.

Erza knocked, and without waiting for an answer, walked in, the other following behind.

"Ah, what would you kids need now?"   He asked, somewhat annoyed.

"We need permits to go off school grounds,"   Erza stated firmly.

"I see...   Just one sec."   Makarov hopped off his desk to rifle through his drawers, he pulled out a lanyard with an I.D. for each of them.

"Here ya go.   Don't lose them."   So they were off once more.   Running across fields, and through buildings, and scaling the wall.   Once over, Natsu and Gajeel locked onto Ana's scent once more, it was faded, really faded, but still there.   Going in two directions.

"How does her scent go two different ways?!"   Natsu shouted, looking at the two invisible trails so it looked like he had two heads.

"How the hell am I supposed to know, ash-brains?!"   Gajeel hollered back.

"Did she split in two?!"   Natsu was very confused and is very stupid.

"That's the stupidest idea I've ever heard!"   The others were simply sighing or rubbing their temples while the two dragonslayers continued their screaming match.

"One is obviously a red herring, so I say we split into teams of two, so we can follow both at once."   Erza cut in, silencing them, "Natsu, Gray, Juvia, and I will follow the one on the left.   Gajeel, Levy, and Wendy take the right."   And so the split, each team following a dragonslayer's nose.   Wendy was extremely apologetic about being unable to find Anastasia's scent.
