School ended and everyone headed over to Ana's dorm room. When they entered, they didn't hear anything, so they all went silent. They entered and found Levy and Gajeel asleep on the couch, curled up together. Erza took out a camera and took a few pictures, a smirk spread across her face. There were a few whispered 'finally's and 'I knew it's. Natsu was quiet, sniffing the air.
"What is it, Natsu?" Erza asked.
"There's an unknown scent in here. Magic, bones, and... Chicken." He said, still sniffing the air. He snuck into Ana's room, where the scent was strongest and found her not to be there. He left the room, going back to Erza.
"She's not in bed." He reported, and a wail came from her room. Levy and Gajeel woke up, and everyone rushed in. There was, in fact, someone in the bed, a tiny Anastasia.
"What happened?" Erza asked, picking her up.
"Someone must've reverted her back to her younger years," Levy said, gently taking her from Erza. Anastasia apparently recognized Levy because her cries quieted down a bit.
"Erza, can you call Makarov and explain what happened?" Levy asked Erza nodded, leaving the room, taking her phone out. Levy sat down on the bed, playing with the tiny Anastasia, who was wrapped up in her shirt.
"Juvia thinks she's cute," Juvia said as Anastasia grabbed Juvia's pinky finger with her tiny hands.
"She is. I wonder how she changed so much." Levy said, eyes never leaving Ana.
"It may have something to do with her dad." All eyes were on Gajeel now.
"Earlier today while you were asleep she woke up and went into a corner. She was obviously scared of the consequences of what she'd done. She kept saying she was a monster, and that her dad told her so. She also said something about her dad drawing blood because she had." Levy looked sadly at Anastasia and thought of something.
"There's a bottle of concealer in her bathroom." Levy stood up, going to the bathroom. She made a towel wet and rubbed Ana's arm with it. Upon seeing what she did, she continued, rubbing off all the concealer on both arms. She walked out of the bathroom.
"Guys, look at this." She said, holding out one of Ana's arms. Criss-crossing across it were hundreds of tiny scars that must've been much bigger before the transformation. Everyone was appalled, and Gajeel took Ana from Levy.
"I promised, but I didn't know what I was getting myself into." He said, looking at the small, giggling girl.
"Levy. Who's her dad?" He asked, knowing that even if she didn't know, she could find out.
"Gajeel. You're not going to like this, but I promised not to tell." She answered truthfully.
"Even after all he's done, she's still protecting him." He growled, sitting on the bed. Everyone was watching Gajeel and Levy's interactions with confusion.
"I know, and I want to tell you, but her trust's been broken enough. If I told you without her permission I don't know what would happen." She said exasperatedly, sitting next to him.
"Yeah." He looked up, handing Ana to Levy he left the room.
"Erza. Is there a tracker in the choker?" He asked, and Erza nodded, listening to Master Makarov talk over the phone. Gajeel walked back into the bedroom.
"Okay. We should be good." He said, making everyone confused.
"It's easier to kidnap a kid, and whoever did this obviously wanted her weakened. I found out that there's a tracker in the choker Erza and Gramps said she has to wear." He sat on the bed next to Levy, and everyone talked amongst themselves until Erza walked in.
"We only have one problem. Who's going to take care of her?" She announced, and everyone looked around. Levy raised her hand.
"Gajeel and I'll do it. We have a promise with her anyway." Levy informed.
"Are you sure?" Erza asked, and Levy nodded.
"Gajeel?"
"Yeah, Shrimp's right. We made a promise." Erza looked skeptical but figured it was okay.
"Everyone, it's been a long day, and we all have things to take care of, so we should go." Everyone went to leave. "Gray, Natsu, don't skip your detention," Erza ordering Natsu and Gray was the last thing heard before everyone was gone.
"I never thought that our game of house would become so realistic," Gajeel said, and Levy nodded.
"You stay here with her, I'll go see if the things Erza inevitably ordered have shown up at Master's office yet," Levy said, leaving, but Gajeel stopped her by grabbing her arm.
"We're pretending to be her parents, so shouldn't we act like it?" Gajeel asked.
"What do you mean?" Levy asked cluelessly.
"What I mean is- Ugh." Gajeel gave up on words, opting for smashing his lips onto Levy's. She was surprised but melted into it. Gajeel pulled back. "What I mean is, Levy McGarden, will you be my girlfriend?" He looked down at Anastasia, "And wife until she's back to normal?" Levy smiled.
"Of course! You have no idea how scared I was that you didn't feel the same way." She gave him a quick peck on the cheek before leaving. Gajeel went into the living room, sitting down on the couch with Anastasia in his arms. He munched on some screws, Ana looking at him quizzically.
"Daddy can eat iron, and make himself iron." He said, showing her by tuning the skin on his hand to iron scales. Ana's eyes lit up, and she grabbed his hand, she chewed on his finger before looking at him, it was obvious that she didn't like it. "It's okay. Daddy's weird, he's the only person you'll ever meet who can eat metal." He said, and Anastasia looked like that made her feel better. Gajeel turned his skin back to normal and continued to play with baby Anastasia.
