"This way," Gajeel says, leading them down an alley, and around a twist, a turn, and up a building. "That way, down here..." They stop at the base of a library. "Damn, it's gone. Better retrace. Maybe we took a wrong turn..." Gajeel contemplates.
"Uh, Gajeel. The collar has a tracker." Levy reminds. "We can just do that."
"Good idea, Levy-san! We can use the library's computers!" Wendy adds.
"Right, c'mon then." Gajeel walks up the steps to the library, the two bluenette girls following him.
"Let's see... This one, FairyTailReform, 3476..." Levy murmurs, walking herself through the process. "There!" Displayed on the screen is a map of the town and surrounding woods, a red, blinking dot a few pixels into the woods. "Transfer the data... Done!" Levy proudly holds up her phone, showing the map.
"Yay! Let's go find Ana-san!" Wendy whisper-yells, so the three of them wander through town, taking the most direct route to the red, blinking dot.
They come to a ramshackle building, and a black blur speeds from it deeper into the woods.
"Chicken..." Gajeel murmurs, bursting the door open to reveal nothing. The only light in the shack is the light streaming weakly through the dirty windows and broken roof. On the floor is a baby bottle, milk gently dripping out. "She moving?" He asks Levy.
"Yeah, Northwest, let's go."
"Umm... Levy-san? The shack's rumbling..." Wendy points out, and just after she says that, it gives out completely, crumbling on top of them and falling into another pit trap.
"Damnit!" Gajeel yells as he begins to fall.
"Light!" Levy yells, the word appearing in front of her, illuminating the tunnel they're falling through to be made of stone and seemingly endless. "Ugh, of course, it's a pit trap." She groans. "Let's see... Wendy, can you slow us down?" She instructs.
"I can try, Levy-san," Wendy replies, holding her hands towards the ground, and sure enough, they slow down if only just a little.
"Gajeel, can you use your magic to stick yourself to the wall?" Levy inquires, an actual plan forming in her head.
"And how do you suggest I get there? I can't exactly swim through the air." Gajeel remarks, crossing his arms snarkily.
"Push!" A hand forms in front of Levy and pushes Gajeel to the wall, slamming him into it. He forms spikes from the bottom of his feet and successfully pins himself to the wall, sticking out sideways.
"Ready, Wendy? I need you to grab Gajeel's hands." Wendy nods determinedly. "Push!" wendy's launched towards Gajeel at a diagonal angle, she barely manages to catch him. Levy spins around, pointing her finger below her. "Boost!" She's launched up towards the others, spinning mid-air as she prepares another spell. "Piton!" Metal spikes appear and fly towards the wall with her, sticking in the wall securely before she gets there. She grabs on before hitting the wall, they budge a little but don't fall. "Okay, Gajeel, think you can climb up with Wendy on your shoulders?"
"Yeah, what about you?" Gajeel replies.
"I'll climb myself."
"Really? I don't think you have the strength, Shrimp." Gajeel teases.
"Gajeel, I got this," Levy says, and he raises his piercings before climbing up, Wendy now on his shoulders.
"I got this.." Levy repeats before taking out one of the Pitons and sticking it further up, then the other, following each ascension with her feet. She's tired, and a little fatigued, but she continues up anyway, arriving at the top of the pit a few minutes after Gajeel and Wendy.
