Sometimes I feel that the night is too dark,
the uncertainty of chance,
the uncertainty of gain,
all play at the heart of fear.
I fear for you,
I fear for myself.
I fear to lose you,
I fear to be tired of you.
I fear a life without you,
I fear a life in which everything I see...
is you.
You're always next to me,
yet you're so far away.
You held hands of men,
with secret pasts and blurry future.
You kissed the lips of men,
who spoke harsh words behind your back.
You cried tears for a man
who left you
to be with other men.
Meanwhile
I stand here,
holding your hand as you cry,
kissing your hair as you weep,
crying out sorrow along with your tears.
Pain dwell within me.
I understand
that we are best friends.
I understand
that we are both women.
I understand
that I love you
even though you'll never
ever...
love me back
the way
I love you.
