Chapter 27

(KATHRYN'S POV )

I'm on my way to my uncle ng mag ring yung phone ko. I look at the caller ID my uncle's name on the screen. "H-Hello uncle?" Sabe ko sa kabilang linya ng cellphone.

"Kath where are you na?" Tanong ni uncle.

I look at the window to see where we are. "Papunta na po Tito. Na Traffic lang po kame ni manong dito sa makati. But don't worry Malapit na po kame." Pag asure ko

Narinig kong nag buntong hininga siya bago mag salita. "Ok.. I will wait for you here. Talk to your driver to drive safely" he said.

"Ok Tito. See you in a little bit" I said and hang up the phone.

Kanina pa ko kinakabahan nung tumawag si Tito sakin. I Feel bad about this. "Señorita? Muka pong sinusundan po tayo si Sr. Enrique" biglang sabe ni manong.

"WHAT!" I said out of shock. Kaya Tumingin ako agad sa bintana sa likuran. And then I saw Enrique's yellow Camaro. Hindi ni maaaring malaman kung San ako pupunta. "Manong iligaw ninyo!! He can't know where we are going" frustrated kong sabe.

"Opo señorita" sabi ni manong at sinumulan na niyang iligaw si Enrique.

After 30 minutes na pagligaw kay Enrique. We finally get into our destination safely. Naghihintay si Tito sa labas pag dating naman. Lumapit ako and kiss him on the cheek and give him a hug. "I miss you so much Tito Piolo (us in piolo pascual)" I said with all my heart.

I filled him kiss me at the top of my head. "I miss you too princess." He said well hugging me tight.

I look at him and give him a sweet smile. "Kaylan pa po kayo na ka balik?" Tanong ko. Tito Piolo is a doctor here Makati Medical Center at na kakabatang kapatid ni daddy.

He give me a big smile "kahapon lang. Come let's go to my office so we can talk comfortably" he said and then we start walking inside the Hospital that I'm SO scared.

(ENRIQUE'S POV)

Mukang na pansin yata ako nila Kath kanina kaya sinubukan akong iligaw. Buti na lang matalas ang paningin ko kung Hindi Hindi ko sila masusundan. I was shocked when I saw him pull over in front of a hospital. Nag park ako malayo layo sa kanila para Hindi nila ako mapansin. May nakita akong isang matangkad na lalaking kayakap ni Kathryn. both of them look happy Yun siguro yung uncle niya.In my observation he looked like the doctor.

Lumapit ng makita kong pumasok na sila. Naglibot ako sa loob ng hospital to look for them. Nakita ko si manong paakyat ng hagdan kaya sinundan ko siya. I smell something fishy. I will find out what's going on one way to another.

(PIOLO'S POV)

Ng makarating kame sa office ko me and my nephew start to catch up. I miss her so much tinuring ko na rin siyang parang anak ko na. I have been her private doctor for 10 years now. ever since we find out that she's having a problem to her heart. I decided to become a doctor to save my nephew. And I will do everything in my power to cure her. That's how much I love her. "So? What have been my nephew doing distaste?" Tanong ko.

She give me one of her innocent smile. "A-Ahhh I have been busy on school work. Nothing really spontaneous" she said shortly.

I known Kathryn since she was a baby and I know when she's hiding something from me. Kung ano man ang tinatago niya malalaman ko rin eventually. So I just play with her. "how are you coping here in the Philippines? Are you making new friends?" Tanong ulit sa kanya.

Nakita kong lumunok siya sa kabe and then blinked three times. "I-I really l-love it here. The g-girls really help me a lot. And I met few new friends too." She said well looking at her nails.

Now I'm positive that she's hiding something from me. when Kathryn blinks kinakabahan siya. At pag nauutal siya and can't look at me in the eyes alam kong she's lying. Tinaas ko yung isang kilay ko while looking at her. "That's good. Sana makilala ko tong BAGO mong kaybigan." Meaningful kong sabe. Pag tapos naman mag-usap and catch up a little bit ng mga ilang minuto. I put on eyeglasses tapos Kinuha ko yung fail niya sa kabinet ko at binasa ko yung huli niyang check-up. "You have been doing great the last time I check on you." Sabe ko habang binasa ko yung fail niya and then I look at her. "Let's see kung ganon parin yung risulta mo ngayon. I will do some test" I said.

Naging worried yung expression niya "K-Kaylangan pa po ba yan Tito? Like you said I'm doing great!" She said defensively.

Tinanggal ko yung eyeglasses ko and look at her seriously. "Yes you are doing great sa last check up mo. Pero Hindi natin alam kung ano ng progress mo this past 2 months. We don't want to take risks Kath." I said seriously.

I can see that she's building some tears on her eyes. "Nakakasawa na po kasi Tito. Ilang beses na po kong pabalik balik sa Hospital. I want to feel that I'm normal Tito. Ayoko na ng ganitong feeling na every time I come here i'm frighten for my life" she said. Know her tears are falling down her chick.

I felt so helpless every time I see my nephew crying. Feeling ko i'm a failure as a doctor and uncle. Lumaki si Kathryn na maraming pinag babawal at pinaghihikpitan ng magulang. dahil sa condition niya. She grew up with fear and pain for the world. She can't even play sports with her friend like normal kids do. It make me feel sad to see her like this. Tumayo ko sa kinauupuan ko at lumuhod sa harapan niya"I know how you feel princess. But please you have to bear with us. Ginagawa namin ng parents mo ang lahat-lahat ng makakaya namin just to keep your heart beating. Y-You mean the world to us Kath and we don't know what are we going to do kung anong manyare sayo." Paliwanag ko sa pamangkin kong umiiyak.

Niyakap niya ko ng mahikpit I can feel her warm tears na pumapatak sa t-shirt ko. "I'm sorry T-Tito kung naging selfish ako. Alam k-kong nahihirapan na rin kayo sakin. G-Gagawin ko na po yung t-test I will do everything that you s-said" she said between sob

Hinimas himas ko yung likuran niya. "Tahana wag ka ng umiyak. Hindi makakabuti sayo ang stress."sabe ko and then a look at her with a smile on my face. Tapos pinunasan ko yung mga luha niya. "you have been through so much Kath. And I also know that you're very strong girl."

She smiled at me and give me a kiss on the check. "Kayong pamilya ko ang nagbibigay ng lakas sakin to keep me going. Hahaha! At sino ba naman ang Hindi lalakas at gaganahan mag pa check up. Kung ang Docktor ehhh napaka poging katulad mo" she said cheerfully.

Tumayo na kame and start walking toward my private room kung san ginagawa yung check up sa mga client ko "Hahaha! Binola mo pa kong bata ka." Sabe ko habang nagaayos ng mga equipment. "Are you ready princess?" I asked para masimulan na yung check up niya.

She nod her head "Y-Yes i'm ready" she said pero alam kong kinakabahan siya kada nagpapa check up.

I will do anything to keep you safe Kath. Promise yan ni Tito. "Relax ka lang princess. Let Tito do his magic" I said.

(ENRIQUE'S POV)

Kanina pa ko kinakabahan and there's a lot of question running through my head right now. Bakit ba kasi nandito sa hospital si Kath? What's keep her so long inside? Is she okay? Why does she have to lie to me? Ano bang nanyayare? Kanina ko pa pinag mamasdan si manong driver. Nakaupo siya sa harap ng pintuan. "Nasa loob kaya ang asawa ko?" Sabe ko sa sarili ko.

I've been standing here for more than 2 hours now. Hindi ko na kinaya ang paghihintay Kaya lumapit ako kay manong to confront him. "Manong?" Tawag ko sa kanya.

Nakita kong nagulat siya. Siguro inakala niyang na iligaw niya ko kanina. "S-Sr. Enrique!? Ano pong ginagawa mo dito?" Kanakabahan niyang tanong.

"Sinundan ko kayo. Nasan si Kath?" Tanong ko ng biglang nagbukas yung pintuan.......
