-Kade--

I wake the next day, with a grin on my face.

I look at my sleeping angel, Scarlet.

She looks so beautiful.

I give her a quick kiss on the lips.

She kisses back.

Shocked, she deepens the kiss.

I push back, loving that we are finally mated.

"Gotta go, Scar. Parents are having a meeting. You can come if you want."

She smiles and nods.

I get up to have a shower.

I notice scarlet following me.

"What are you doing?"

She smiles again.

That smile never gets old.

"Having a shower with you."

I pick her up bridal style and walk to the bathroom.

I turn the hot water on.

We both stand under the warm water washing each other's hair.

We kiss, until dad mind links me.

"Son, the meeting is starting in fifteen. Hurry up and get out of the shower."

Oops, I might've told him that we were in the shower together.

Scarlet turns the water off and we get changed.

I change into a white shirt and jeans.

Scarlet changes into a white dress.

She pulls on some white lacy flats.

She puts her semi dried hair into a plait on the side of her head.

I take her hand and we walk to the office.

We are meeted by my parents, scarlet's parents in blood pack, her brother, and alpha George and his son Riley.

"Well, now that we are all here, we might as well start."

We take our seats, but I pull scarlet onto my lap.

She giggles, slightly and turns to give me a kiss.

"Save the lovey dovey scene till after."

Jordan makes a gagging noise.

I see scarlet roll her eyes.

"Okay. The dark pack has invited both packs to a masquerade ball, in remembrance of scarlet."

Scarlet gulps.

"Scarlet. What do you want to do?"

Scarlet looks distant, probably talking to Artemis.

She comes back, a sly smile forming on her pretty face.

"I have a plan, but in the end it will mean war."

Jordan nods, so does his parents.

Riley and George say yes.

My parents agree.

Scarlet continues.

"Well, it does involve me kinda going to the ball..."

I stand up, pushing her away.

"No!!!"

She flinches from my roar.
