Not letting you outta my sight

I wake up, smelling the newly winter breeze.

It is the first day of winter.

I look down seeing Scarlet asleep in my arms.

She looked so scared last night.

I'm glad I go there in time, who knows what I would've done if I was late.

I've made a decision.

I know she may not like it but I will not leave her alone to be attacked.

I mind linked dad 'can we have scarlet join our pack?

I know dad is a reasonable person and because she is after all my mate.

I'm sure he will let her join us.

I sent dad my memory of last night, showing how vulnerable scarlet was.

'Sure son, tell her and I'll discuss it with her parents.'

He ends the mind link and I'm brought back into her room.

"Hey. Did you sleep all right?" I almost jump from her tired voice.

I nod kissing her forehead.

It takes a lot of effort not to jump her right now.

"What's going to happen now?" Her voice edged with fear, makes me bring her closer.

"You are gonna join my pack."

I look at her shocked face.

She pushes me away.

She gets up and rushes down stairs.

I listen closely and she enters the office where the alpha and her parents are waiting.

"Is it true am I moving to the light pack!?"

Hearing her voice break makes me feel sad.

Raine, keeps whining in my head.

I feel him pacing back and forth.

I think he is trying to reach his mate, but I know she doesn't have one.

I can sense her parents nod their heads,

The alpha speaks.

"It is for your safety. We want you safe and they are the second strongest pack."

I sense her heart break as she runs up the stairs and back into my arms.

She doesn't hide her tears,

I feel them fall heavily.

She knows it is for her safety but I understand that she doesn't want to leave.

I pull away from the warm embrace and start to pack her bags.

"You don't have to... I can do it."

I shake my head.

"It is the least I can do."

I shoo her away, out the door.

She heads down stairs into the kitchen.

I go back to packing.

I pack her shoes, she has a lot.

Than I pack her toiletries and spot pads and tampons.

I don't feel disgusted, weird, but then I notice Raine speak.

Lest she's fertile.

Raine are you always so horney.
