Caleb took her, it should've been me.

He probably trying to win her parents over.

Her wolf, something about it looks familiar.

I run back to my pack house.

I shift in my bedroom putting a white t shirt and jeans on.

I head to my parents office.

"Mum, dad?"

I hear them, they are on the phone, talking to George, alpha of blood pack.

I listen closely. "Alice, Fred. The wolf bane is very strong, stronger than anything I have seen before."

"Do you, do you think they know already?"

"Maybe, the doctor said we have at least week, till they find out about her."

"Then we must prepare."

"We will be with you all the way. We know how much you want them dead. Keep your son outta this. If they know he is her mate, the. They will go for him first."

"All they want is power, we have the strongest of their pack, but she does not know what she can do."

"What are we going to do with Caleb and Anna?"

"What do you mean?"

"Aren't they in your pack?"

"No I thought they were in yours?"

"Fuck.!!"

"They must've told the rouges. But how?"

"School. Anna distracted Kade and Caleb was nice to Scarlet."

They are talking about my mate. I hold in a growl.

"This isn't good. Will talk to you later. George, keep in touch about scarlet's recovery."

They say their goodbyes and I walk in.

"What are you guys talking about?"

My parents looked shocked.

"Um.... Scarlet." They say it unsure if it is the right answer.

"Why? Don't lie to me."

They look to each other thinking about whether they should tell me.

I sit in the chair in front of them.

Finally they speak. "Her, her parents are the, the alphas of the dark pack."

I notice their stutter, they are scared of dark pack.

"Why is that bad?" Now they look angry.

"Bad, do you know how much destruction that ungrateful pack has caused. They killed there parents when they found out they were the next alphas. They have killed all their children, because they want to keep ruling."

My mouth drops.

"We rescued scarlet, when she was a pup. She is different from her dead siblings. She has the power to destroy that pack, and rule it better."

They say it from the heart, they rescued her.

"Her mum, gave birth to her as a wolf. So she was actually a pup. They always have a backup plan, they knew that most of the packs wanted to get their hands on their pup. So of they didn't succeed in killing her, the used a blood ritual, to make a second mate."

I am gonna kill Caleb.

"Caleb and Anna have left. They ran away."

I finally look at my parents. "No one is gonna take my mate. I'm gonna see her."

I walk out the door. I need to see her. Raine is becoming annoying.

'I wonder if she's naked.' Gross Raine shut up.

He giggles, he loves giving me ideas.

I reach her pack house, they let me through.

Rachel and John, lead me to her room.

They open the door.

My eyes rest of her weak body.

How are they dealing with this.

I look at her parents, their eyes filled with unshed tears.

"May I?"

They nod. "Try to keep her warm, her temperature is below freezing."

I enter, owner in why they aren't in here.

I look back at them. They are holding each other tight.

I pull the covers and slide in next to her.

This is all my fault, if only I didn't reject her.

I wrap my arms around her, pulling her into my embrace.

Jordan looks amused, at the door.

"Aren't you coming in to lecture me."

His smiles fades. "If I could I would, but I can't get anywhere near you."

"What? Why?"

He laughs. "She let you in. Not us."

He walks away leaving his words hang in the air.

I look back at her, so peaceful.

She isn't moving no signs of life.

I can't even hear her heart.

I'm so scared, I can't lose her.

I keep her close, trying to warm her freezing body.

She feels so distant, yet she is near.

She keeps drifting away, then comes back again, like the waves.

Every now and again I would see her eyes flutter.

She is my mate, and I will save her.

My dad is at the door.

"Come in."

He shakes his head. "That is up to her. When she walks up, she will train with you."

He calls the pack doctor. She comes to the door.

"Only him."

My dad nods.

"What is going on?" I'm so confused.

The pack doctor opens her mouth. "She had great power, only when she wakes, she may defeat the darkness."

My head is full of questions.

They both walk off leaving me with scarlet again.

I listen closely trying to hear her heart.

Thud. Thud. Thud. I hear a faint beat of the heart.

She is alive.

Her eyelids are fluttering. What is she dreaming about.

I grab her hand, I won't let her go.

She squeezes back.

I call out to whoever answers first.

Her parents are at the door, they take a step in.

They look at scarlet.

She opens her eyes.

"Scarlet, it's us."

Her eyes look unfocused.

What is wrong with her.

Her lips twitch into a smile, but nothing looks right.

Her eyes roll back into head and she falls unconscious again.
