From then to now

Those who have read this book before I updated it. Know this. Josh's name has changed to Kade. I thought Kade sounded better.

Everything started in year 7 it was May and I've already turned 13, when we turn 13 we can sense our mates if they are near, but can only mark them when they are both sixteen.

It was May the 30th and my mate is the next alpha of the light pack, Kade.

As soon as he saw me he looked angry and disappointed.

We were in werewolf school.

As soon as I sit in the back of the class, he and his group stand at the front and josh stares right into my violet eyes and says "I Kade light, next alpha of light pack, reject you Scarlet blood, for being a disappointment as a human.

The class gasps, at the word human, humans are almost extinct.

They look at me to see if I was in pain, I was not.

Werewolves have a wolf, that is the voice in their head, I do not however, I do not know why, but I don't, me and my wolf are the same person.

I stand up, anger radiating off my body.

The rest of the class shrinks in fear, even my best buds, Lola and Logan.

I raise my voice, letting an unknown alpha voice come through.

"Can't handle me, dick." I spat the last words out like venom. Kade looks at me in shock.

My werewolf scent suddenly filling their nostrils.

I turn and leave the room. Ever since then, I've been bullied by his little gang.

It doesn't bother me, I mean I could kick their pathetic asses goodbye.

Lola and Logan walk out beside me, heads held high.

They both have shifted for the first time yesterday, so they feel strong.

I don't say it, but I have basically shifted since I could crawl, it's weird but I'm okay with it. No one follows us as we head to the forest.

Lola and Logan shift, into their blond wolves.

I nod for them to keep going.

I walk the rest of the way home, I don't want my besties seeing my wolf.

As we get to our pack house, the blood pack, they head to their rooms while I follow my parents scent, to the alphas office.

Alpha George is standing before me.

He smiles and walks off leaving my mum and dad I front of me.

"Why aren't you at school, Scarlet?" Mum asks. I huff. " my so called mate rejected me." Dad looks at me funny.

"Shouldn't you be in pain, or at least feel broken?" I look at him funny too. "No, should I?"

Mum and dad look at each other, then look at me.

"Oh, baby, there is something we haven't told you. You are adopted."

I smile, not feeling anything. "Um, I already knew that."

They looked shocked.

I giggle. "I look nothing like you."

I give them a dumb look.

I walk away to my room.

My 15 year old brother comes in and tackles me onto the bed.

"Jords stop it." I say.
