Chapter 2
It has been three long tiresome months and I'm finally ready to flee the nest of my non sociable life. My daily routine involved eating, sleeping and going to university.
I had become what I feared most. A recluse!
Tonight would be the first night out with all the girls, since Jamie had left. He had taken over too much of my life and I know I would never forget the memories we had but its time for me to create new memories without him.
I could see the frustration in my friends eyes as I repeatedly refused there invitations out. I'm actually gleeful to be doing something.
Moments after I finish getting ready, the taxi shows up with five of my closest friends, beaming at me through the quaint glass windows.
Miss Penny Millard what can I say, she is a rare diamond, her clumsy attitude towards everything is the reason why people love her. She will always be my friend, even if some words have a tendency to escape her mind, on the odd occasions.
Lucy Green is a pure friend. her golden heart, always makes me feel warm, her presence lightens up a room with her alluring hair to match and her timid front is like paper, which can easily be broken.
Then there's Rosie the mystery within the walls. She is an artist, wild with inspiration. Her deadly bright smile can kill anybody and her introverted side shows her hidden beauty.
Unhurriedly I walked towards the taxi. My bodycon dress was grabbing my body as I walked down my path and the black sequins shimmered in the moonlight, reflecting all the beauty of the dress, it was accompanied by black velvet stilettos and a dash of makeup.
As I stepped in the car, I actually felt desire able for a moment, as all of their eyes were gazed upon me. I felt like a swan, spreading its wings for the first time. However reality soon caught up with me and I joined in with their well missed conversations.
'We have got to paint the whole town red.' With Vicky's cheeky smiled remark, Everybody burst out laughing as we all joined in with a joyous chant of laughter.
It wasn't even that funny, it was all because everyone's spirits was so high!
Vicky is the mother figure of the group, her athlete figure, bodied well with all her pretty features and her sense of humour and personalities synchronised perfectly to mine.
As I sit and appreciate all the wonderful atmosphere, like everything, it has to end, as we approach our destination.
Stumbling with laughter we pay the unfortunate cab driver for our mental behaviour and Nicole grabbed my hand and we glided into the night club, as if we had no meaning of time.
It had been years since I last went clubbing, yet I can remember all the minute worthless details, I reluctantly walk to the bar as if I'm floating because of the obscure surroundings like the bright lights, which are border line blinding.
'Hey Lilly!' the roaring music deafened the volume of the mysterious voice and to my amazement a hand grasped my shoulder.
I turned completely unaware of who I was about to come In contact with. It was Bobby, my old friend.
He was different. Better. He had scruffy dark chocolate hair which was placed perfectly over his edgy face. His rich almond eyes was staring right through me and his oversize hand slipped from my shoulder, back to his smart clothes which had a hypnotising aroma which would entice anyone.
'Hey Bobby, how you doin? It's been so long.' I was so anxious to be in his presence, yet I felt secure.
'Yeah I'm great thanks, I can't believe I even saw you in a place like this and I've just finished my law degree, so what have you been up to?' His gentleman smile suspiciously made me blush.
'Oh wow, I'm impressed and just the usual daily routine of university.' I spoke my vindictive words, in a sarcastic tone, which I hoped came across endearing.
I stood corrected.
'If you're not doing anything next Saturday do you want to go to that new coffee place in town,to catch up... Say 7?' He seemed nervous, as his words came out a bit stuttered. It made him even more attractive, as I gawk at his new appearance.
'I will think about it.' I said with a half wit smile. I left with my heart pounding, frantically scanning the room to find the first well known face I could come in contact with.
