"Hey, Jimin, can you take over the cashier for a sec? I have to go help Namjoon there in the kitchen before shit starts collapsing again."
"Hyung, I think I can help Namjoon hyung in the kitchen. You're not feeling too well today, you know."
"Exactly. And apparently some customers are assholes and being sick doesn't help reduce the urge to fucking slap their faces with the tray. Besides, you'll end up causing more destruction seeing how you're nearly as clumsy as that airhead in the back. Besides, I'm pretty sure Jin wouldn't really mind with you being on the counter for the past week."
"Alright, fine. But if Jin hyung does blow a fuse, I'm blaming it all on you, hyung."
"Yeah, sure, whatever. Now get your ass here before any other customers enter."
I held back a sigh as I walked over to the counter, Yoongi hyung heading to the kitchen. To say it was a bad day would be an understatement; everyone was in a pretty terrible mood for no reasons and the fact that it was very crowded just made it worse.
It'd been a week since Hobi came back, and many things happened from that day. The cafe had gotten really crowded the past week due to Hoseok hyung coming up with a new menu and everyone seemed to like it a lot. The line had always been full from when we opened the cafe until night when we were about to close down. Sometimes we even had to open the cafe until midnight because of it!
Although this was a good sign for our cafe, the hyungs got sick; Namjoon hyung had to take a day off because he caught a bad cold, Jin hyung had been staying back home for 3 days now due to his fever after working non-stop for 3 days straight, Hobi hyung had sore throat and a cough resulting him to wear a mask all the time during work, and now Yoongi hyung had a slight fever but still forced himself to work.
Honestly I could feel myself starting to get sick as well, having to balance work and school at the same time. Due to the hyungs feeling unwell lately, I had to work overtime as to cover the work they couldn't do. Luckily, Taehyung came over several times to help out. Of course, I offered him to work here several times but he declined and said that he couldn't afford having another job.
Snapping out of my thoughts, I smiled as I start serving the customers one by one, ordering the same order as the past week to the point that I wanted to groan everytime I hear it.
After serving a few customers I glanced at the clock and cursed under my breath since it's nearly 10 pm yet the line kept getting longer.
"Hoseok hyung! I thought you flipped the sign before!" I called over the counter to Hobi who had just put an order on the table.
"Fuck I forgot!!!" He immediately ran over to the sign and flipped it close, at the right time actually because I spotted a few people about a few meters away from the door. They walked another way when the sign was flipped, though.
Sighing in relief, I turned my attention back to the line that only had a few customers left. With a deep breath and a smile, I served them one by one until the line reached an end.
"Thank you, come again! And sorry for the long wait!" I said to the little boy who was already exiting the cafe, the last customer to serve.
"Finally," I mumbled, "I can rest, oh God. Why did Jin hyung got sick?"
I started cleaning up since it's way past closing time. The hyungs were already getting ready to go home. Most of customers had left the cafe except for a few people.
"Hey Jiminie, we'll be going now, alright? Please lock the doors after everything's done," Namjoon hyung reminded me as he and the other hyungs walked towards the exit, "and don't forget to come early to open up! Hobi will be working early too so you'll have company."
