withered || jikook [discontinued]

!! NOTICE !!

(please read til the end, there's a surprise hehe ^^ hint: it's related to the storyline)

hello! it's been a while, hasn't it? after much consideration, I have decided that this story will be discontinued (unless I plan to continue or rewrite it in the future, that is).

in previous notices and updates, I know I said that I won't discontinue it, but as time goes by, I just can't bring myself to continue it; mainly because my writing style changed and I feel like my writing style from before is rather.. cringe.... and I can't bring myself to reread the chapters to continue the story;;;

and after thinking about it, putting taekook in a jikook fanfic might encourage jikook shippers to hate on the ship even more and/or even make them hate tae. that is definitely never my intention and I should have put more consideration of that before writing this.

furthermore, I no longer ship jikook as hard as I used to and it makes it harder for me to bring myself to keep continuing this; I used to be so passionate about writing this since jikook was my most valued(?) ship, but like I said, I'm no longer a hardcore jikook shipper and am more of a every ship shipper at this point. and in a way, it makes me not really want to continue it too

I could keep rambling on and on as to why I finally decided to discontinue this but the reasons I mentioned before are the big main reasons. I would like to use this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have read, commented and voted this story; it gained more attention and readers than I expected so thank you very much! ;;v;;

I'm sorry that I broke my own promise and end up discontinuing this, but I figured it's only right for me to tell you how the story goes on and how it ends;

(I'll also be including the notes I made while planning the story out, you can skip reading this if it's too long though, since the notes pretty much cover the whole thing)

storyline continuation:

yoongi eventually found out about jimin's hanahaki and jimin pleaded him to not tell hoseok about it. they had a little bicker due to yoongi saying that he will tell hoseok but in the end, yoongi promised that he won't tell.

the next day, jimin constantly goes to the toilet to cough and dispose the flowers. it is starting to get worse to the point that he is slightly pale and shaking. luckily, the cafe isn't too crowded that day so yoongi told him to go home and take a rest (he'll tell jin that jimin wasn't feeling well). he did what he was told and goes back to his apartment, yoongi visiting him afterwork and telling him to do the surgery. jimin, of course, denies. yoongi keeps trying to persuade him but failed in the end, telling him to think about it again before leaving jimin alone.

the day after, jimin surprisingly feels so much better as if the flowers have disappeared, so he decided to go back to work. yoongi isn't there but jin is, and he asks jimin as to why he's there because he thought he was sick. jimin explains that he feels better and jin allowed him to work as long as he feels ok. jin then tells him to wait the tables since jungkook is in charge of the cashier that day.

fast forward to a few hours later when the cafe isn't as crowded, jimin is wiping the tables when tae came. he immediately goes to the cashier and chats with jungkook. jimin pays no mind, however, and continues his work. he then turns his head to see tae kissing jungkook, and all of a sudden his chest hurts, both from heartbreak and the flowers. he immediately runs out of the cafe, shoving yoongi away who is about to enter the cafe. he runs to the park and starts crying and coughing out petals until he passed out. yoongi who followed him immediately brings him home and stays the night.
