Rhiley woke up around noon and let out a big yawn. She honestly didn’t remember going to bed. Something involving Jax and Tyler was tickling the edges of her memory but she brushed it off.

She took a quick shower and threw on a pair of sweats and a T-shirt. At the moment, all the cared for was breakfast.

To say she was shocked to see Tyler in her kitchen would be an understatement. His hair was disheveled and he was wearing the same clothes from yesterday.

            “Morning.” He half-smiled.

“Good morning?” It came out like a question.

“I brought you home last night. It was late so I stayed.” He didn’t know why he lied. He did know she would find out everything eventually but until then he didn’t want her to worry. Jax had been giving her problems, he noticed, and he didn’t want her to be bothered by him; not until she had less on her mind.

“Oh, alright.” She shrugged and turned on the microwave, already knowing there was a plate of food waiting for her. Rachelle would do that every time she woke up late. It was nice.

            “Hey, I have a question.”

“Go for it.” She joined him at the table.

“What happened to your mark at the beach yesterday? I didn’t realize it was gone until last night.”

“Rachelle gave me cover up to put over it. I actually had to put more on a few times because of the water.” She said thoughtfully.

“So that’s why you kept running off all the time.”

“Yeah, I guess. How did you randomly notice it was gone?”

“On our way back I saw it and realized it wasn’t there earlier.” He shrugged nonchalantly but avoided her gaze.

“Whatever you’re not telling me, I’ll find out soon.” She smiled at him before throwing her dishes in the sink and going back to her room.

Being in a good mood, she wanted to go for a run. She took off her bra and underwear so changing would be quicker and made her way outside. It wasn’t a particularly nice day out. Warm but cloudy and humid. It was going to rain soon.

Not wasting any time, she undressed and immediately let instincts take over. Before she knew it she was dashing around trees on all fours.

*”What the hell are you doing out here?!”* She recognized his voice but not the alarm it held. She slowed to a stop and watched Jackson’s huge form run over to her.

            *”Running. What’s-“*

*”You’re not supposed to be out here. Don’t you listen to anyone?”*

            *”What are you talking about?”*

*”I don’t have time for this. Talk to Tyler about it. I assumed he would’ve filled you in. Just go home, stay out of the woods, and don’t draw any attention to yourself.”*

Before she could ask, he ran off again.

She stormed into the house five minutes later and started searching for her blonde liar of a friend. He was in the living room talking on the phone with someone. That ended when she snatched it out of his hand and ended the call.
