"No number, No nothing!" my palms were sweaty. "Okay, I think you need to calm down Dylan. I don't think it's that big a deal" Stacey was making her new diet food: no fat, no carbs, no sugar, no calorie oatmeal. She managed to stay skinny, no matter how terrible the food was. "No Stacey it's not okay! I wake up, and he's gone! I didn't even get a goodbye or a text or anything! He's just..gone!" I slumped down into a stool by the kitchen bar. Stacey sat in the seat next to me, and sat her oatmeal down on the counter. "Well, I think, with circumstances like this.." She took a bite of her food in between sentences. "Is just destiny's way of calling you all together again. I just know it. But the way the universe works, you'll probably see him when you'll least expect it." She nodded her head in agreement with her own statement. "Well okay, Socrates, if you say so."

----------------------------------------------

Stacey and I pulled up into our 'reserved' parking lot in her silver Porsche. But don't get the story twisted. We are most certainly not the rich, snotty girls who run the school because our dad owns some sort of company. Well, we do run the school. The only reason Stacey has a Porsche is because we stole it. Right off of 9 mile. I thought it was pretty stupid to just leave it there, so we just picked it up. Originally we were just going to slash the tires, but we decided it would just be way cooler to show up to school with a Porsche. Nobody would dare mess with it here. Only because it belonged to us.

As we strolled into the schools hallways , the crowds parted for us like we were in that movie, mean girls. Except I would never be caught dead wearing pink. Ever. And since neither my father or her father owned some big company or was rich, the only other way to become popular was simple; you just have to be hot. "Hey baby," Zach wrapped his arm around my waist. Zach was literally the boyfriend every girl would dream of. He was beautiful, and nice. But for me, he was too nice. Like a human Ken doll. And utterly stupid. I would probably break up with him by lunch, I can't commit anyway, so I don't even know why I was obsessing over that dude, Jose.

----------------------------------------------

"Yeah, sorry." I excused myself from the lunch table where Zach was, indulging in the bad news. Word spread through the school that the infamous Dylan Garcia was now single. Boys kept trying to hit on me all day. It was flattering, but honestly annoying.

Stacey met me outside of the cafeteria. "Wow. I can't believe you just ended it!" She was actually surprised. "Yeah he just didn't do it for me, I guess." I shrugged my shoulders. "Speaking of 'doing it', did you get any word from that guy at the club?" "Nah, I'm over him." We turned the corner and went into our history classroom. We have a substitute teacher today, as our regular teacher was on maternity leave. Our sub was writing his name on the board, faced away from us, still talking. "Hello class, my name is Mr. Lewis, and I will be your permanent substitute teacher for the rest of the year." I really hope this guy is nice or whatever, I mean, we are going to be stuck with him for the rest of the year.

But when he did turn around, I couldn't believe my eyes.
