{Dinah Jane}
Normani, Lauren, and Ally watch as I pace around the cave. Camila is gone. Lauren played dirty and she might actually win. I never thought I could come to love Camila so much. Come so close. And now that I ran, I have to face it now.
"This is completely unfair. To use an innocent-"
"Camila is indeffinetly involved and got in the way." Ally protests. "Shes a werewolf so Im not sure how this is dirty play."
"You gave her to the government! And therefore risking them finding more of our kind!" I scream, kicking a rock so hard it flies toward the setting sun.
"Well you brought this on! If you had just married me-"
"And then what Lauren?" I asked tired. "Youd be happy? Youd leave her alone?"
Lauren grins.
"You told me you were ready. You cant keep running Dinah."
Shes right. I cant.
And she knows shes won. She looks like a winner. It sickens me to think of the joy she gets from this.
"Fine. I will marry you. On one condition."
Lauren smiles. "Name it." She says whispering in my ear, wrapping her arms around my neck.
"I get to go back and tell her the truth. I owe her that."
"Fine. But from then on, you. Belong. To. Me." She says bitting down harshly on my neck leaving a firm bite. She runs her tongue over it and I can feel her willing it to be left there.
"Fine." I agree.
She kisses me but I feel nothing. Im too preoccupied with thinking about Camila.
Lauren can see it. "Give the blood oath Dinah."
Seeing no way around it, I bite my lip harshly so blood tickles. "I swear that after I rescue Camila I will come back to you."
Her mouth has a trickle of blood. "And I swear if you stick to the terms I will not harm Karla Camila Cabello so long as she lives."
We kiss and our salty blood mingles. When I pull away Im already running.

Its the same building. The science lab. But this time shes awake. Shes in her hospitale gown. Her eyes glowing with fear. I see her helpless and clueless. Im reminded Lauren got what she wanted and it was because of me.
And my anger flies loose.
I slam my fist through the window and jump. Just in time to catch Camila as her eyes roll into the back of her head. The scientists dont panic. And I dont give them a chance. Im gone before they saw me.
My legs carry me far. To the place I took her last time. The house in the woods. Surrounded by beautiful wildflowers and trees. A place she is safe. A place that belongs to her and her kind. Its her kingdoms.
I sit outside hours later and she comes out of the house. Her eyes groggy.
"Dinah?"
"Your awake." I say without taking my eyes from the trees.
"Thats the only greeting I get?"
She plops down in my lap, forcing me to look into her beautiful brown orbs.
"I love you."
"You dont love me." I say harshly.
Camila frowns. "Yes I do..."
"I cant love you. Okay? Ive made enough trouble. I rescued you because that was an agreement."
"What are you saying?"
"Im saying Im engaged. Lauren is my fiance. We are being married soon."
"But you dont love her."
"Your right. I dont. But I told you Id protect you. And if this is what it takes so be it."
"Dinah stop!"
Her sudden outburst makes me turn to look at her. She stands to the side, the trees in the background. A breeze that isnt there is blowing her hair. A magiks breeze. Her eyes fume and I can see stroms. The trees rustle and rain begins to pour.
"Stop protecting me! I love youa nd I dont care about Lauren! I just want you! God dang it I want you so much."
Now Im standing. "Well you know what Camila? Life isnt fair? I love you and this is why I have to do this! Lauren was my original mate. But I fell for you. Hard. And when the time came to unite our packs in an arranged marriage I ran. I ran because I loved you and couldnt marry Lauren. I couldnt look her in the eye and say I loved her."
The rain beat down harshly and Camila had tears in her eyes.
"Then tell me why you came back!"
Her eyes bore into me and I had to shout over the storm.
"Because two years ago I watched you. I always watched. And one day Lauren took you. She gave you to your kingdoms enemies. It was the government. The government facility we just came from. And they were going to kill you."
"I- I dont understand!"
"Your not who you think you are." My voice was ice. "Two years ago you were knocked out and on a hospital bed. And they were ready to kill you. And Lauren was watching. Waiting for me. And I came. I took your body in my arms and ran from her. I carried you to this safe haven. But she found me and I ran again."
"I ran from her then. I ran from her now. We are going in circles and I have to protect you Camila! Its my job. And I love you. Ive always loved you. But we cant be in love. I belong to Lauren."
Camilas eyes boiled. "Can you at least call me Karla? Can you at least stop looking at me like that? Like im your responsibility?"
"But you are! And you dont understand!"
Windows shattered and the cabin shifted. Grass was torn up and flowers lost their petals, it was getting worse and I had to stop. Before a tornado started.
"Then tell me why."
"Because of who you are. Because of who I am." I growl the words. "Because we were never mates. Never. And we fell. And it got me banished. It almost got me killed. It got me into an arranged marriage. It almost got you killed."
Camila stood right in front of me. "What are you afraid of Dinah?"
"Im afraid of loving you."
The words were a whisper.
But it didnt matter. Camila was whipped. "Tell me the whole story! Tell me who you are! Tell me who I am!"
My words choke and I cant breath. "Your roalty. Your a princess. Your a Light. You have the Caster blood in your bones. A Naturalist. You arent from here. Your place isnt here. You dont belong with me."
"And who are you?"
"Im a warrior. Im a wanted criminal. Im the one of Endarkened. Im your sworn enemy of your kingdom. And I destined to be your greatest enemy. Your worst nightmare. The one you fell for and never returned from."
Camilas eyes watered.
"Your telling me you..."
"I was sent to kill you."
