Her long hair drifts over her face. I can still see her beautiful big brown eyes. They are full of wonder and light. Soft like hot chocolate. Her skin looks flawlessly tanned even though she hasnt tried, she never tries. She doesnt need to. Whatever flaws she has harmonize with her strengths perfectly. They blend to make impure perfection.

She stands atop a hill. I wear a beautiful long white gown. My little black bow atop my head of untamed brown hair. She stares up into my eyes. Her eyes gleaming with sorrow and yet pride. I am leaving to fight for the kingdom. I am leaving to protect her. And she smiles because she knows I will come back. I always do.

Her eyes reflect the sun and mine the moon. "Luna." She whispers.

"Ave atque vale." I say and lean down to kiss her.

I get a tease of her honey before my vision blurs, colors blending with red and black. I look down to see the handle of a knife sticking out of the place my slowing heart lies. She has a wicked smile on her face.

"Ave atque vale." Her words drift away on the wind and I see her walk away.

My screams echo down the hallway. Forunetly my family are deep sleepers. Tears stain my clothes and i swing my legs from the bed. I need someone right now. And I sure as hell know my parents wont be there.

Countless nights I refused to close my eyes out of nightmares. When I was little I tried to open to my parents. But they never listened. Never cared. I remember the first wave of nightmares. I was 6 years old. I lay in my parents bed at 1 am then got carried back at 3. I remember the next day hearing my parents complaining. They got no sleep. So the next time I simply cried silently at the foot of their bed. Not having the heart to care for them.

Dinah Jane changed that. She cared. She listened. She made me feel wanted, needed and most of all, loved. She always knew what to say, how to say it and when to say it. Her words were a soothing lullaby to my ears. And now more than ever I needed her.

I crawled out from my bedroom window and jogged down the beach. Dinah had no family as far as I knew. I had been to her house before when she first lived here. No parents or siblings. As far as I had known she had been alone, facing the world without anything.

Slowly, I approached the side window to her room. If I peaked in I saw her curled up in a little ball with blankets and pillows. Sleeping peacefully. It reminded me of my parents. How they were always deep in sleep, no clue I lurked in the darkness, tears falling down.

A wave of tears sprang. And I didnt stop them. I needed her. And I needed her now. The moment they came lose a hand covered my mouth. Pale and cold. I screamed into the hand and Dinah sprang from her bed. "CAMILA!" She wailed.

My fingers tried reaching out but whoever had me dragged me away silently despite my kicking and screaming. It was really dark and the only thing lighting the forest was the moon. Dinah mustve been on the same wave length because I saw her hair darting by the moonlight.

Then nothing.

There was a huge ripple and then a wolf sprang out from the darkness. Tackling the stranger. The person went down and by the noise they made I knew it was a girl. I turned around and wiped myself off.

In front of me was Lauren Jauregui battling a wolf. The wold was big but dark and sleek. A ruffled brown coat with streaks of silvery grey. Claws extened, it lept toward Lauren and Lauren fell to the ground.

"Lauren..." I half astonished half worried for her.

But she didnt need it. Lauren threw the wold off of her and it landed right in front of me. It turned around and looked me in the eyes. Not fierce but a warning in them. Run. Lauren mustve seen it also because she gave a sharp howl and pounced on the wolf.

I turned and ran.

The darkness helped along with my hair and I silently thanked the fact I wore my darker pjs. I ran for about 5 minutes before long scratch marks made me stop. I was bleeding down my leg and a new wold was at my shin.

With a scream I fell down and there it was. Looming over me. A dark dark coat and glowing green eyes...

I reached up, unafraid anymore. "Lauren..."

It snarled and sprang off of me. Blood stained its coat and its teeth. I rolled away and it began to walk off into the darkness again.

"Lauren!"

It looked backward. Pausing for a second. Then nodding its head it began to walk. I followed slowly, watching her carefully. It had to be Lauren. No ones eyes were that green.

When she stopped I saw why. The other wolf from before was laying on the ground. A bunch of new scrtaches had been made and it was dripping blood. For a moment the moon shone on it and then its form shimmered. It was so quick I hadnt known it Changed. And there, laying in a scary pool of blood, throat torn.

Was Dinah Jane.
