I quickly ran through some bushes, glancing behind me to see if he was still following me. I didn't see him, so I looked around in a hurried panic. I came to a sudden halt as I saw him standing right in front of me.

"Tag, you're it," my brother says to me.

I was just a normal protoceratops, living a normal protoceratops life with my mom, dad, and brother, until one day that all changed. The day started off like any other, waking up, playing with my brother, and having my mom tell us to stop roughhousing. Me and my family walked around looking for some tasty plants to eat.

I always thought that my life was quite boring. My dad told me stories about strange two legged creatures that used to live on the island, and how he barely escaped from the jaws of a carnotaurus. I've never seen any carnivores before, the most that I've seen is a T. rex footprint, but the footprint was old and the T. rex was long gone from the area. I have seen some cool herbivores before though, such as our larger cousins the triceratopses, and the titanic brachiosauruses. Our family is usually very timid and we avoid most other dinosaurs.

We found some tasty plants near one of the old two-leg nests. I started to feel some rumbling under the ground. We were all busy eating, so my family didn't notice it at first, but then the ground started shaking violently. We started looking around in a panic. A giant beam of light then shot up into the sky. I felt a blast of cold air coming from the beam. It was bright, but we couldn't stop staring at the column of light. It suddenly stopped. It was gone as quickly as it appeared. Small white flakes started floating down from the sky. They were cold and turned into water when I touched them.

"What is it dad?" I asked my father.

"I don't know son, I don't know," he replied as he looked nervously into the sky.
