Chapter 10: Grumpy and the Monkey

Ben and the others carefully snuck around to the back of the building. Ben had gotten lucky with part of his plan, because he didn't know if there was going to be a backdoor or not. It was unlocked too.

"Ok Jeff what do you do?" Ben asked slowly.

"Jeff hold door!" Jeff replied.

"Good."

Annabelle and Edward slowly crept inside while Ben started going around front. Ben saw Victors tranq gun sitting outside. Ben grabbed a tranq dart in the gun and stuck it in his pocket. He then heard some people talking inside.

"Ok Dr. Buckler, one last time, tell us what Madame Pom's true plans are before we have to be a little more violent," Spidermonkey said to Bill.

"I'm telling you Spidermonkey, I have no idea if she even had any other intentions!" Bill replied desperately.

"Well I'm afraid that's the wrong answer Bill," Victor replied.

Before they could do anything else, Ben burst through the door.

"Spidermonkey!" Ben yelled angrily.

"Ah, Dr. Rodney, so good of you to join us," Spidermonkey said with an evil grin, "Y'know, I didn't think that you would have made it this far Benjamin; I thought something else would have killed you off by now."

"I've been through your death trap once before, so I can do it again," Ben replied.

While Victor and Spidermonkey were occupied with Ben, Annabelle and Edward were untying Bill to save him. They were about to leave until Bill told them something.

"Do you guys have a flash drive?" Bill asked.

Annabelle found one in her bag and gave it to Bill. Bill then stuck it in Spidermonkey's computer to remove all of the files off of it. Spidermonkey already had trackers in all of the creatures (at least the original ones), and the tracker was on his computer.

"Well your time as my enemy has finally come to an end now Dr. Rodney."

Spidermonkey motioned to Victor and Victor started walking towards Ben. Ben started running outside. Victor quickly grabbed his tranquilizer gun and started following Ben, although much slower.

"That's it Dr. Rodney, waste all of your energy, so I can have an easy hunt," Victor muttered to himself.

Ben fled quickly through the forest with Victor still following behind. Ben eventually found an icy cave and ran into it.

"That cave is a dead end, so I'll just wait here until he comes back out," Victor says while hiding in a bush.

Bill finished downloading all of the files and they started to leave until Spidermonkey spotted them.

"Hey! Get back here!" Spidermonkey yelled as he ran towards them.

The three ran out of the backdoor. Spidermonkey was going to chase after them, but Jeff suddenly ran up and kicked Spidermonkey in the face. The doctor fell over on the ground holding his face as Jeff ran outside with the others.

"Jeff do good?!" Jeff asked excitedly.

"Yes, good Jeff," Annabelle replied.

"Who is he?" Bill asked while looking at the deranged Jeff.

"Long story," Annabelle replies.

"Where are we going? Shouldn't we go get Ben?" Bill asked.

"We are going to the south side of the island where the boat will be," Edward replies.
