Bill unpacked one of the crates on the chinook. There was winter gear in the crate. Bill gave everyone a coat to wear, and whatever other winter gear was in the crate. Bill tried to give victor a coat, but he refused.
"I've survived through the most extreme of conditions, this weather is just a light breeze to me," Victor explained.
Ben ended up getting a pair of gloves and a large coat, which was pretty good since a couple of them only got a coat.
"Ok, roll call: Edward, Nina, Victor, Dr. Rodney, Jose, Buford, Annabelle, Elizabeth, Cameron, George, and me; ok that's everyone. Cameron, George, you two will stay and guard the helicopter, since you guys are the pilots; the rest of you follow me!" Bill instructed to everyone.
They all grabbed their gear and started following Bill. They carefully walked a fair distance away from the mammoth herd. Ben asked Bill if they were also going to capture the mammoths. Bill wasn't sure what to do with them. Ben was going to be the guide, but the snow and ice had changed the island drastically, there were even glaciers on the island. They soon found a giant metal structure collapsed in the snow. The all examined it, but they couldn't figure out what it was. Ben took a close look at it and eventually realized what it was.
"The ferris wheel..." Ben muttered.
Ben quickly explained what it was and they were on their way again. The ferris wheel gave Ben a large clue as to where they were. Ben was leading them all to the Jungle House, if it was even still there. While on the way to the Jungle House, they spotted another herd of woolly mammoths, and nearby the herd was a grazing woolly rhinoceros. Its smaller size from the mammoths and the two giant horns on its head easily distinguished it from the herd of mammoths.
"A woolly rhino?" Jose questioned.
"Yeah, makes you wonder what else Spidermonkey has been up to," Ben replied.
Nina took a picture of the mammoths and rhino as they carefully avoided them. Ben eventually led them to the Jungle House. The building was surprisingly still standing, but it didn't look in too good of shape. The sliding glass doors were all broken and busted, and most of the letters on the building had fallen off. Ben could only think of one dinosaur that might still be in here, the giganotosaurus.
"Ok, the exhibits listed for the Jungle House are the giganotosaurus, the pteranodons, the carnotaurus, and the dilophosaurus," Edward says as he reads off the list.
"The pteranodons and the carnotaurus had escaped last time I was here, so the other two are our best bet," Ben explains.
Bill tells Elizabeth and Nina to keep watch outside as the rest of them go into the building. Victor goes in first with his gun pointed forward. He had a flashlight attached to the end of his gun to see in the dark building. The others followed carefully behind, trying not to step on broken glass. The eight of them got to the room with the bridge that overlooked the jungle. The indoor jungle seemed to have died from the frost though.
"It should be in here," Ben mutters to the others.
Everyone looks around and they don't see it. They decide to start searching the whole building. Ben, Victor, and Annabelle find a downstairs part of the building. Ben and Annabelle start searching the room, it seemed to be full of boxes of meat. Victor found a light switch on the wall and flipped it. The lights surprisingly came on. Ben squinted his eyes as he tried getting used to the light. It was quiet for a second until he heard Annabelle scream as loud as she could.
Ben and Victor looked over to see the giganotosaurus right in front of her. It must have found the room to eat the food stored in it, then it fell asleep, but the lights woke it up. The beast stood up and let out a mighty roar. Annabelle started running as the giant theropod started chasing her through the maze of crates and meat. Victor started quickly loading a tranq dart into his gun. He aimed his shot but missed. The dart just barely grazed the beast's scales. The dart startled the dino though, so it was distracted from chasing Annabelle.
