Three, two, one, jump! I manage to land on the car of the thief I'm trying to catch. She yells and starts speeding ahead. As if that's gonna stop me. I call the police, clinging to the roof and trying not to let the wind affect my balance. The thief tries to escape the car, and I slap my hand down on the door; I can't let the police discover me sitting on an empty car full on money. Actually, the police here seem a whole lot more forgiving than back in New York. Maybe they just don't care all that much. It's not like Oxford has a lot of crime; I've high fived more little kids in Spiderman t-shirts than actually caught crooks here.

I go to London a couple of times a week- it's just like New York there, crime-wise. Except for the lack of supers. I'm almost disappointed that there don't seem to be any other people like me in England. Not even bad ones.

I hear police sirens approaching, and jump off the car onto the side of the road. Huh. I didn't even use my web for that one. I decide tomorrow's a London day. Somehow catching people committing minor theft means nothing compared to saving lives. I need my London days to really feel like Spiderman again. But the rest of the time, I guess I'm content hanging round the take-away sushi restaurant I got a part time job in, calling Aunt May, and thinking about Gwen.

And trying to continue my father's work. Oscorp got closed down, labelled as too dangerous; it's devastating, I really thought that place was the future. But I know it's for the best, so much s**t was going down there. Think Curt Connors, human experiments, power placed in the wrong hands, all that messy stuff. So I buy books by my dad's colleagues, spend too much time googling genetics and disease, and get Gwen to help me. She knows so much more than I do, though I'd never admit it to her. I think I might be getting somewhere.

I hope dad would be proud of me.
