Chapter 5

D-22 BLACKPINK's Comeback

Today is my first day of work. Well, this sounds funny but I guess I'll just work this out.

Before I headed to YG, I decided to grab some coffee from a nearby café. I ordered two americano and two slices of chocolate cake. I decided to buy the other one for Irene. A thank you gift I guess?

As I parked my car infront of the building, I saw someone arriving also. Wait is that Jennie? I think it's her.

Might as well join her so I can get to know my subject shouldn't I?

I immediately ran going inside so I can catch up with her. I greeted Mr. Kim, one of the Guards as I passed him.

When I got inside, I immediately pressed the arrow up button just as the doors were about to close. Good thing I was able to catch up.

As soon as the door opened, I saw Jennie who was a little shock from my sudden entrance.

"Oopss.. I'm sorry Jennie-ssi.. I can just ride later go ahea-"

"No it's okay, come in" Jennie smiled cutely.

Wait! Why do I always get lost of their smiles. That's weird! Anyways, that was nice of her for letting me stay.

"Thank you" I said as I smiled at her.

"So, today's your first day huh?" Jennie asked.

"Yup. Wish me luck! hehe"

"I don't think you'll need it but anyways, good luck" A slight giggle came out after she said good luck.

How come this girl right here is a bully? I don't get it. Is this just some kind of show off? I was interrupted when-

"You really like coffee huh?" Jennie asked

"Uhmm hehe if I give you the other one, would you accept it?" I guess I'll just give Irene something else.

She was taken aback from my sudden offer.

"Wait I didn't mea-" Jennie was interrupted by the elevator

"Ting! 6th floor"

I handed her one of the coffee and also a slice of the cake.

"Here, just take it. Think of it as my treat since it's my first day on my job." I winked at her and went out the elevator.

I didn't look back and I hope I just made the right move. I ran to my office and immediately opened my computer. I typed in a little code and voila! I can already see everyone in YG.

My eyes first looked for Jennie who is now heading to the dance practice room. And wait, she's smiling? While looking at the coffee and bag of cake I gave her. I guess I made the right move?

I smiled at the sight and-

"Ring.. Ring.."

The telephone on my table rang and so I immediately picked it up.

"Annyeonghasseyo this is Y/N from the system administration speaking"

"Hello Y/N it's me Irene. I was just checking if you doing alright there?"

"Oh hi Irene! No worries, I'm doing good so far. Thank you."

"Oh good to hear. Okay then, I think I'll just see you when I can"

"Ahh! Are you busy later?"

"Why? What's up?"

"Hmm I wonder if I can take you for lunch. A thank you gift for accomodating me I guess? My treat!"
