Chapter 24

Y/N's POV

After that day at my house were Jennie confessed about her past, I did all the things that can help me to always remember Jennie.

Why?

It's because I'm afraid that one day, I wouldn't know that I already drank that Vixen thing which will make me forget everything.

Ever since that day, I was living in fear. I would think not just twice but thrice whether I should take the beverage in front of me or not.

That is how mysterious the company that I'm working with. Stupid law to make Secret Agents forget details and continue on with their lives not knowing about their past.

And since forgetting Jennie is not part of my vocabulary, I did all the preparations in case I 'accidentally' forget about her.

Now after my mission was accomplished, everything went by in just a blink of an eye.

Me breaking Jennie's heart and also destroying her career is really out of the context. That's why I decided to tell her everything now.

She deserves to know everything. And even if my life is at risk for breaking the company code, I will do it.. For Jennie I will do it..

We are now here at my Underground HQ were all my S.A. works are done. This should be a good place to start explaining to her everything.

"Mind telling me what this place is?" Jennie asked breaking the silence creeping here

"This is my office.. This is were I do my job... my true job to be exact.."

"Then what is you 'TRUE' job?" she asked stressing the word true

*sigh* "I'm working for a company who accepts inside jobs. And I'm one of their secret agents and..-"

"You were tasked to expose me.." Jennie said cutting me off

"Y-yes.."

"H-how can you do this Y/N?" she said while crying already

"It wasn't my plan! Things got out of control and it wasn't me who put out that fucking audio Jen.. Please believe me.." I said kneeling down in front of her

"Then how come you have recorded that conversation? That was just between us Y/N!" she started yelling again

"I did it!" the sound came from the huge monitor in front of us revealing a stressed out Ahjumma

"Y/N has nothing to do with it! It's me!" Ahjumma said yelling while close to tears

"And who are you?" I can see how Jennie got confused now

"Please Ahjumma, let me handle this by myself.. Stop interfering with my life anymore.."

"I'm sorry kid but I have to step in right now.."

"Fucking stop it! I'm so tired from all of this bullshit things! Please Ahjumma j-just.. just get lost!"

"I'm going nowhere kid.. I'm here to help you fix this.." Ahjumma said

"No no no.. I'm not believing you again this time!"

"Y/N sooner or later they'll know you broke the company code! You know what happens to people who breaks the law! And besid-.."

"I don't fucking care about that anymore!"

"Can you just fucking listen to me for now Y/N?!" I was shocked at how Ahjumma cursed. It was my first time hearing it and it woke me up for a bit.

I didn't talk after Ahjumma making the whole room sip in the silence.

"Look Ms. Jennie Kim, I know you're confused right now but I will help you understand that Y/N here deserves your trust back."

Jennie didn't move nor spoke. I guess she was still grasping the things right now.

"Y/N is one of our secret agents and you're right, she was assigned to expose you of your bullying past. Your past classmate in New Zealand was the one who hired Y/N to do this." Ahjumma continued

I noticed how shocked Jennie was after the information that Ahjumma said. But she didn't say anything after.

"Y/N's one of our best agents and I have been her guardian since she was 10 when her brother died. The reason I took out the audio is to protect her so I can file her mission accomplishment and make her move on with her life. But-"

"Ahjumma stop it now.." I said cutting Ahjumma

"No Y/N let her continue.. But what Ahjumma?" it was Jennie who was so immersed at Ahjumma's confessions and even asked Ahjumma to continue

"But.. but I think what I did just destroyed her even more. I've never seen this kiddo like this before. She was professional with her work and now.. *sighs* now seeing her breaking the company rules just to get you back was different. She really loves you Ms. Kim. And I don't want her to grieve on losing you just like how I've seen her getting depressed over her brother's death... So please, give your trust back to her.."

I was touched at how Ahjumma pleaded to Jennie in behalf of me. It's what I needed, Ahjumma's support and guidance.

I was continuously crying when I felt arms wrapped around me.

It was Jennie..

"I'm sorry.." she said to me between sobs

I turned to her and looked straight into her eyes.

"I should be the one saying sorry Jen.. B-but.."

"What is it?"

"Can I hug you back?"

It felt like forever since the last time seeing her smile that was intended just for me. How her eyes disappeared and how her gummy smile was flashed for me which felt like home.

I hugged her tight and felt so happy inhaling the familiar scent. The scent that I love the most.

She was my family. Jennie was my home.

I hope we can just stay like this forever. But I think everything's just about to start now.
