~THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 170 READS!~
Author's POV:
Since Jimin's parents have arrived, Jungkook has been sure to keep his distance; only practicing during the day and then being gone from the house for the rest of the day, usually doing his normal electrician runs since he has nothing better to do. For an entire week this is how the two boys live, only practicing during the day, and then ceasing connection.
Jimin stays locked away in his room, or on planes heading to meetings with his father, but while everyone else is choking on cigar smoke and flashing fake smiles, his mind is somewhere else, thinking about someone else.
The only time they have together are in the middle of the night when the two boys find refuge in Jimin's loft. They hold each other every night, discussing how their day went and how each of them are doing...how much they miss the way things used to be. Though, Jungkook refuses to do anything with Jimin while his parents have their eyes on them.
Every night Jimin showers in freezing water and shivers to sleep until he's woken up by the gentle rocking of Jungkook climbing into bed with him.
One week....two weeks....
Jimin's parents stay put at the house; Sue frequently calling Jungkook into her room when Jimin is gone.... to talk...
Jungkook's POV
I watch with sad eyes out Jimin's window as he walks glumly with his father to their black car, gliding in and an instant later disappearing from me... again.
"Mr. Jeon," The butler knocks at Jimin's door. "Ms. Park wishes to speak with you in her chambers."
"Tell her I'm not here. I've got to do a few errands-"
"It's not very kind to lie, Jungkook." She cuts me off, making me choke sightly.
"I....I'm sorry, Ma'am, but I really do have things to do." I shout to her through the door.
"....I'm sure they can wait...." It sounds almost like a threat the way she drawls it out.
I groan and walk out the door.
"Yes, ma'am."
~Time Skip~
"You still haven't told me why you enjoy my son so much~"
I remember her asking me about it the night after Jimin got drunk and I held him until he fell asleep.
"I have no answer." I reply bluntly, feeling my patience for this woman boil away even more.
"I know you don't understand our family and its hierarchy....but it doesn't really involve you."
"You're right. Which is why it's inappropriate for you to ask me to report about your son."
She chuckles and sucks in a smooth breath from her cigarette, blowing it out slowly.
"I don't want to lie to you Jungkook, and I've tried to give you hints these last few days...but you just don't seem to get it."
"What do you mean?" I ask, half understanding what she's talking about. Every time she calls me she seems to only be half dressed, and always slightly flirty. It makes me sick, but I've chosen to ignore it.
"....Do you like me, Jungkook?" She asks, pouring a little vodka into her tea.
I swallow and think of how to answer. "In what way?" I ask, keeping my eyes trained on the bottle of vodka sitting on her glass table.
"Would you consider possibly.....becoming my lover?" She asks, her eyes starring straight into my soul.
At this moment my last bit of fucks that I give run out. "Why would I ever become the lover of a woman who neglects the responsibilities of being a mother to the one person I care about the most in this world?" Her mouth drops open. "How can you ask me a question like that so confidently? Are you even human? How can you be so shameless asking a man nearly 20 years younger than you to become sexually active with you? Are you out of your mind?!" I stand and brush off my pants, bowing forcefully. "I'm sorry to be so frank with you, but I have no interest in betraying Jimin like that." Quickly I spin away from her, briskly walking from her room, slamming the door shut behind me.
