"France, Ryan she is moving to France! How the hell am I supposed to be able to find a new place to live in when they are moving in 3 days? Like fair enough moving but selling the house that I live in... God I'm so fucking frustrated!" I ranted while throwing punches at the punch bag.
"I get you" He said sympathetically.
"I can't stand you so why am I even telling you this and why are you being sympathetic? I bet the idea of me being homeless satisfies you".
"Wait, I have an idea" There was a small twinkle in his eyes. His smile grew massively and I knew this was going to be an idea that could be potentially helpful even though it was coming from his mouth.
"Go on".
"Well me and my brother live in a 4 bedroomed apartment, and since there's only the two of us we have two spare rooms, we weren't planning on renting them out but I guess if I speak to my brother we can work something out". Something in my heart melted, how could someone with such a nod head personality be so sweet to someone who treats him like shit, even though he deserves to be treated worse by me.
"Why would you do that for me?" I asked genuinely interested in his reasoning.
"Because if I help you... You can help me in return". There it is, I knew he wasn't doing this as a nice thing.
"Obviously you want something in return" I said with an eye roll.
"Do you want to be homeless or not?" I nodded my said saying no vigorously that I almost snapped my neck.
"So what is it that you want in return?" I mentally cringed because I expected his response to be something centred around sex or money or even both of he two.
"I need you to train me to fight".
My jaw hit the floor. Out of all of the things I was imaging that never once crossed my mind. He was one of the most well built and sculptured people I had seen in a long time, and I knew how strong he was from seeing him doing his stuff throughout the recent gym sessions.
"Why would you need me to train you?"
"Mollie, I know what you can do, so why not help me?" He said, something flashed through his eyes that I couldn't work out.
"But- I didn't think you were a fighter"
"I was but then- my brother- he... Beat me, I had never been beat, I was unbeatable- until him. At that point I just gave up, my dignity was wrecked and I couldn't face going back in the ring".
"So why are you going back to fighting now?" His story was so compelling, ever word he said had me drawn in that little bit more.
"There is a fight coming up and an old friend of mine told me so I signed up, it was spare of the moment, but I cant back out now- imagine how humiliating that would be".
"Who is it against?"
"Him" He gritted out.
"Ryan, I'm gonna need more than that" I laughed causing him to smile.
"My brother" My lips formed an O shape.
After a few moments of silence I decided to speak.
"Okay" I said causing him to snap his head in my direction.
"You will do it?" He chirped happily.
"Yes". He picked me up and span me around.
"Thank you so much! If I win this fight I will be able to get my life back on track and with your help I know that I'm going to win".
There was something different about Ryan. Now that I knew more about his background I understood him that little bit more, and as hard for me it is to say, I don't think I hate him. Sure he isn't my favourite person but I could definitely see us being friends, I just hope his brother isn't going to be as bad as Ryan was when I met him. For once I had a good feeling about this, living with two guys can't be as bad as I would imagine.
