how you keep taking and taking and taking
and i try and try to come through you
but all i end up is with heartbreak, sad songs, tragic waste

how you think that life is so fucking simple
that all you have to do is bat your eyes
tell pretty lies
and that life will then just pass you by

how you still have this childish mind
playing games
toying with hearts
because you're missing your own
lovely darling-
twisted knives
and changing eyes
cluttered minds
and frozen, stuck behind
'hold on'
you scream
but you're the one to let go
