'LETHAL LOVING'

i say darling,
you're ambitions are too big.
you'll fly into the sun,
like icarus you shall burn,
if you don't learn to temper;
the raging wild fire in your heart.

beating rhythmically against your porcelain, fragile, chest. your ribs will break from the adrenaline that courses through your veins like blood.

i say darling, you're breaking your own skin. bruising your perfect sculptured marble face.

those brown tense eyes fascinate me,
especially when hit by the sun,

but when your mind goes to the clouds,
your heart jumps out, your eyes cloud and they become pitch black.

and all you can think of is what will make you feel alive even more.

what will make your lungs burn,
your hands sore.

you're threading on ice,
you're catching the wind.
you're making and breaking new grounds,
you're mind goes a hundred miles an hour,
whilst we jog thousands of miles behind.

but it never seems to be enough.

i say darling,
you're ruining your flaws,
you're bending the laws,
of physics, morals and all.

i said darling you're dancing on dangerous grounds, but i dance with you anyway.

being dragged into a wild adrenaline run,
living nightmare,
a thundering hurricane.

you're falling from clouds,
gold turns to black.
a darkness pulls in.
how can i love this boy,
whose limits wear thin?

how can a boy, with a heart filled with need, fall in love with a boy, with a head filled with hopeless dreams?

but—

you're dancing on dangerous grounds,
but your eyes shine gold now,
so i take your hand in mine,
and surprisingly you let me take the lead.

and my heart, beats, beats,
then skips a beat.
and i remember why i keep falling in love with the boy whose born with the lead.
