Wait...

Wait until they're out of earshot
Wait until they can't see you
Wait until nobody can stare
Wait until you reach the train tracks
To holler, scream, and shout
Wait until you get back home
To cry your poor eyes out
Wait until you're far away enough

Tell them you're glad
And that you're happy for them
But make sure not to show
How envious they made you
Hide behind the mask
You've done it all along
So what's the problem now?
Does it suddenly feel wrong?

Wait to get back home
To scream and cry and hide
Cover the tears up
With hate and fear and lies
It's only a Friday
So no more people to see
That once it turns to Monday
It'll all be a bad dream
