it had now been 3 days since Addison was attacked outside of the hospital. For the first time in those 3 days, she was ready to tell Amelia what happened. She knocked on Amy's door, as she entered. "you have a minute to talk?", Addison asked. Amelia patted the bed, telling Addison to come sit down.

"whats up?", Amy asked.

"i want to tell you about the other night", Addison said.

"Addie, you dont have t-", Amelia tried to get the words out, but was cut off.

"i do. i need to tell someone and i want it to be you", said Addison.

They looked at each other for a few seconds before Addie looked down at her hands. She still couldnt look anyone in the face.

"i was raped. outside the hospital, walking to my car. He had a knife. Part of me wishes he would have killed me", Addison begins to cry as she relays the details of the brutal affair to her best friend.

Amelia's eyes fill with tears as she listens to Addison's heart wrenching story, wishing that there was something she could have done to stop it, or at the very least, take the pain away.

"im so, so sorry Addie, i can understand why you didnt want to tell me. are you okay? what can i do?", Amelia asks, still baffled by the confession.

"can you just be there with me to tell Derek when he gets back? I cant do it over the phone.", Addie asks.

"of course i will", Amelia said.

They were 2 days away from Derek"s arrival back home. Addison grew anxious. It was hard enough telling one person, but now she had to tell another. She wanted to keep it a secret, but she didnt want to lie to him.

While awaiting for Amelia's return home from work, Addison went to make herself something to eat. one of the first things she had eaten in days. As she made it to the bottom of the stairs, the first thing she did was make sure every door and window was locked. Then proceeded to her destination. Addison now hated being alone, the thought terrified her, but Amy had stayed home with since the morning after the attack to be with Addison, she knew she had to let Amy go save her share of lives.

After about 30 minutes, around midnight, Addison heard the doorknob rattle while sitting at the table. She was almost in full panic mode, before Amelia walked in the door, startling Addison. Addie's eyes filled with tears instantly, "why am i like this?", she cried. Amelia ran to comfort her. "Its not your fault, i promise", Amelia assured her. Addison went upstairs and cried in her bed until she fell asleep.

She just wanted to feel like herself again.
