A couple weeks have passed since Addison revealed her pregnancy to her husband. She continued to work and continue her life as is for the next week before her "appointment". Her and Derek have been on extremely awkward terms since he persuaded her to make this decision. Maybe it was for the best.

At work, Derek was extremely high strung. The whole situation with Addison has had him so on edge, being he was one of only two people who knew. It fell back a lot on him. He had a patient with a brain aneurysm. He didnt pay enough attention to the labs given and it ruptured on his watch. They rushed the patient to the OR,but It was caught too late, the patient had died. Soon the tables would turn and this would be made to be Addison's fault.

After scrubbing out of his surgery, Derek angrily walked to the attendings lounge, where Addison had been with Amelia, Alex and Arizona. "whats wrong, Derek?", Addison asked.

"We need to talk", he replies sternly.

"okay?"

They two made their way out into the almost completely empty hallway. Derek starts the conversation.

"We need to talk about.. this"

"No, Derek, we dont. You've made yourself pretty clear. It'll be done and over with next week."

Addison walks away, Derek becomes furious and punches a glass window, causing Addison to stop and turn back in disbelief.

"Derek, what the hell are you doing?"

"I cant do this. You wont let me help you, you're not you, Addison, and that 'thing' , is only making this worse"

"You sound ridiculous. Almost like this is harder on you than me. Quite some nerve you have"

"Whatever, Addison. You have no idea how hard this has been on me"

"Harder on me. You dont even know half of the story, but yet this is all on you. Goodbye, Derek, i dont have time for this."

She finally walks away and is not stopped by Derek's childish fit. She returned back to working and checking the mommies to be. Kind of ironic, the best OB in the country couldnt get pregnant no matter how hard she tried. Now that she did, she didnt even think she wanted it. She watched all the new moms and moms to be, jealous. How was this fair?

After the embarrassing argument with Derek earlier that day & watching all the moms and new babies, Addison thought long and hard about the decision she made. Part of her felt like Derek was right, like she really wouldnt be able to bond with the baby, but the other part of her knew that it wasnt the baby's fault. She thought about much she wanted a child, how long they had tried for one but never succeeded. It was a heartbreaking experience for Addison, she felt so conflicted.

She had made her decision.

Back at home, she found her husband sitting at the table, empty beer bottles in front of him, another in his hand. Addison walked towards the kitchen and joined him at the table.

"Addie, im so-", Derek was quickly interrupted.

"Im keeping the baby, Derek", Addison said, leaving him speechless.

"what..?"

"Im keeping the baby. i thought about what you said, and maybe you made a good point, but it seems like you were trying to persuade me without even asking what i wanted. It's not just his baby, it's mine too, and i want it."

Derek became angry. "Then have fun with YOUR  baby."

"Why are you acting like this? You wanted a baby too"

"i wanted a baby that we made. Or at the very least a baby we chose together. Not a baby conceived by a man who raped my wife!"

Addison stood silent, staring at her husband in disbelief. She stormed away, walked into her bedroom and packed as much of her stuff as she could.

Amelia walked in the house just as the argument was ending, she had just caught Addison's fit of rage as she walked up the stairs. She followed her up and asked what was going on.

"Long story short, im pregnant, im keeping it, and Derek is angry about it. So now im leaving"

"No, stop, you're not going anywhere. Just think about this"

"I did think about it. I'll still come to work everyday. I'm going to stay with a friend for a few days, i'll get an apartment"

"Well i cant stop you, but can you at least call me when you get where you're going?"

"Of course i will. I'll see you tomorrow, stop panicking", Addison kissed Amelia on the cheek.

Addison went downstairs with her bags. Derek was sitting on the couch, still drinking. He saw Addison getting ready to leave. He tried to stop her, but she wouldnt listen to what he had to say. She was incredibly hurt by the things he said about her baby. She didnt understand why he couldnt just support her.

She loaded up her car, put the keys in the ignition. She pulled her phone out as she drove away from their house. She dialed the number of an old friend of hers and Derek's.

"Mark, its Addison. Are you home...?"
