Flash forward a few weeks, 5 and 2 days, to be exact. Addison was slowly, surely but getting better. Today was her first day back at the hospital. The place she didnt even want to think about. Derek had to leave earlier than Addison and Amelia. He kissed both women on the cheek, and made his way out the door.

An hour passed by, both ladies were ready to go. They decided to carpool. It made Addison feel more at ease, go together, leave together. They pulled up at the hospital, they sat in the car silent for a moment.

"we can take a few minutes if youre not ready", Amy says.

"its alright, im gonna have to do it one way or the other, might as well just get it over with", Addison responds.

They make their way to the entrance of the hospital, and join hands as they walked in together. Everyone greets Addison, making her feel so welcome to be back. She felt overwhelmed, they all think she's been ill, no one knows why she's really kept herself trapped in her home for over a month.

Addison goes about her day, still trying to get back in the groove of things. She did multiple ultrasounds, and is preparing for her first minor surgery on a soon to be newborn in a few hours. She goes to lunch, and stares at all her peers around her. "what if someone asks me any questions?", she thought.

She sees her friend, Callie, and goes to join her at her table.

"long time, no see. how ya feeling?", Callie asks.

"oh, you know, im okay. thanks for asking. hows everything been?", Addison says back.

The two carry on their conversation for a few minutes longer. Out of nowhere, Addie gets this feeling in her stomach. She looked at her food, and then immediately ran to the nearest trash can to be sick. "no, no, no, this isnt happening", she thought to herself.  "no, its just my nerves, it has to be."

She sat back down and glanced over to find Callie staring at her with a sly grin.

"are you-? ", Addison cuts her off, "NO!, im just not feeling well. im gonna go lie down".

Addison runs straight for the closest supply closet, and grabs all the tools needed to draw her blood. After she finishes, she finds a intern to take her blood sample up for testing.

"Have them put a rush on it. Its for a patient", Addison said.

Now we wait. Just a waiting game that seemed endless. Until the results came back. Addison's  newest fear had been confirmed. She was pregnant.

She found herself sitting on the ground, contemplating everything. Trying to think of a solution.

"it'll never end. This is my life now", she cried to herself.

Addison picked herself up, wiped her face, and put her smile back on to face the rest of the day. She put on the front that she has come to know and use well, anything to keep anyone from questioning the paleness and sweat from her face. She then found herself in the hospital nursery. Looking at the babies, some that she herself delivered. Now it was her turn to make the decision about bringing a baby into this world. But how.

Pediatric surgeon, Alex Karev, spotted his friend Addison, just looking at the new tiny humans. She didnt look like herself. She looked torn. About what, he didnt know. At least not yet.

"Hey, stranger, hows it going?", He asked Addison. "its been a while, you feeling better?"

"Yeah, im great", She replied with a slight smile. "i should get going, though. see ya later"

The 2 parted ways for now, but Alex would soon learn Addison's secret. What is she going to do now?
