Taking a deep breath, I let it out slowly, shakily.  The water below me crashed roughly against the side of the rocks, breaking them away piece by piece.  The distant sounds of the drums began to play out and I closed my eyes, feeling the wind wrap around me.  My arms, lifting up with the movement, felt light, free, and I took a deep breath, letting it out slowly as the wind picked up, bringing my hair back into a blond mass of silk.

When the wind brushed over my arms, chills rose, and I hugged myself tightly, watching the way the sky grew bright with the lightening before it dimmed, leaving me back with the dark sky that was ever so slowly pouring with rain.

Turning around, I glanced into Cam’s eyes, watching the way he bit on his lip tightly, looking not at me, but through me.  My hair wrapped around me, licking at my face like a whip before finding where it was comfortable in the mass of tangles on my head.

I turned back to the water, shaking with fear, with pain, before clutching at my shirt and letting out a slow, shaky breath of air which slipped away into the wind.  The fabric of my clothes were sticking to me, suffocating me, and I whimpered, feeling my wolf wanting to claw at the surface, to take control and tell me what I was doing was a mistake, that there was no way I would survive this.

But that was the thing…  I didn’t want to survive.

With my heart pounding in my ears, I stepped forward, feeling the cracking of the rocks beneath my feet and listened as they drifted down, hitting the larger rocks before disappearing in the foamy water.

Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes, letting my hands rest on my sides before I fell, the wind in my ears carrying the gentle screams of Sam to my ears.
