Fragile Strength (Kakashi x oc)

Chapter 2: Carnation

"Damn It! Why?!" He started slamming his fist on the cold hard ground "If I had listened to you this would have never happened!" As he blame himself, he could hear Rin crying behind him.

"I never gave you a gift for being a jonin, haven't i?" Obito stated which made Kakashi dare to look at him. The view of his comrade dying pains him greatly.

"I-Ive been trying...to come up with something g-good...and just now...I-I got an idea!" though struggling, Obito smiled at him "I'll give you my...my s-sharinggan. And through you...I'll s-see what the future holds."

Then everything turned black. Kakashi tried looking for Obito and Rin. He ran and ran but the dark path was endless.

"Obito!!! Rin!!!" He fell on his knees and started crying. He blames himself.

"Kakashi..." He lifted his eyes to look at the familiar voice.

It was Rin.

She approach him with tears in her eyes, coughing blood. Kakashi look at his hands and they were coated in the same blood Rin has. He killed her. He killed her!!!! He killed his only comrade left and broke his promise to protect her!

"No..." He shook his head as he back away from Rin "No,no,no!!!"

"This is not true!" He collected himself and ran towards her but the more he run the farther she gets until the only thing he could see was the pain in her eyes.

"Rin!" Suddenly, Kakashi sat awake. His face were filled with sweat and probably tears. He stood up from the kitchen floor and wash his face, still shaking from the nightmare he had.

It's still haunting him.

He stare at his hand. The same hand that killed Rin. He then started rubbing it in water as tears filled his eyes "It still won't wash off...it won't wash off!" He slam his hand on the sink and lower his head.

The pain stays.

Taking a deep breath, he calmed himself down and decided to visit her.

Kasuno's P.O.V
I opened my eyes and I was in the hospital. Beside me sat my brother, Takeru. He looked at me worriedly.

"What happened?" I asked.

"The doctor said you overworked yourself. It's probably because of the mission. You should rest."

I didn't buy it.

"Then why are you still...worried?"

He sigh and took my hand in his "Kasuno...do you know the story of our clan?"

Even though I was confuse, I tried my best to remember "Well...we are connected to the Yamanaka clan. We both use mind jutsu and all that." I then let out a chuckle "I'm not really good with history..."

"You're right." He smiled at me but I can see that it was forced "Then...do you remember grandma?"

I raised an eyebrow. Grandma....I never really got to see her. She died when I was a baby but I heard that she's an excellent shinobi.

"Why are you asking me all this nii-san?"

He tried saying something but it was as if he couldn't find the right words; he just smiles and ruffle my hair "It's nothing. I have to go now. I want to speak with Mom so I'll see you tomorrow. Rest well."

Before I could hold him back, he was already gone. That was strange....

Then the nurse came. She changed the dextrose on my left arm and ask how I was feeling. As I watch her do her stuff, I noticed a pink carnation on my bedside table.
