SOAR HIGH: Through The Wind Fly High

Summer is fast approaching.

It is a perfect time to loosen up for a while after a tiring and stressful 10 mos. of school priority.

It is the best time to relax under the sun with family and friends.

Vacation out of town, summer getaways, road trips and other exciting events awaits us during summer.

As Olaf’s character said in the movie Frozen which is a snowman, “…summer is surely exciting and full of fun”.

For you, what are the wonderful things you love to do during summer? What are the exciting moments that you really can’t forget?

If you are going to ask me this, it is when I am able to watch a kite flying up in the sky because it makes me realize one thing about life.

Life is like a Kite.

A kite is made out of light materials just like our life does. I’m not talking about our physical body but what is within it. It’s not our internal organs either but our soul. You don’t have a soul because you alone are a soul. A soul that has a body that makes possible to others to see us in their naked eye. Our spiritual being molded who we are, direct us and affect our lives.

A kite flies in an open space. The wider the space, the more it wonders up in the sky. The open space defines our degrees of freedom. Our freedom and our freewill in all things we do that is accepted by the society.

A kite doesn’t just fly on its own alone, it flies through the wind. The wind serves as a road to achieve our goals in life. Sometimes, the wind may blow hard and strong that will give us a hard time to fly, just take the risk and go with the flow of the wind because no matter how hard it takes to fly in a normal pace, it will carry us in our destination. Patience is a virtue after all.

A kite is connected by a string. This string attach to us serve as the connections of our life; they are our family, friends and even our love ones that accompany us in our journey. Without this, surely we will fall down.

Lastly, a kite flies because someone makes it fly in the sky. Someone control the string attach to guide us in our flight. Someone who will serve as the pilot of our departure ready to lift us up when he know that we will crash into the ground and to remind us to look back when we soar up really high.

Someone like God.

God give us the opportunity to fly like a kite in the sky that goes through the flow of the wind because He wants us to see the beauty of the world and to experience its wonderfulness. When God let us wonder like a kite up in the sky, he never cut the string attach to us because He don’t want us to travel alone in our journey.

And when God said, “I’ll throw you now,” he’s giving us a signal to go and begin our journey. As we travel through the wind let us not forget to trust on him that he will control our life and guide us on our flight. Hold on to him as you soar high and through the wind you fly high.
